Update 10/17/2024 My husband and I decided to give this restaurant another try. The owner had seen my previous review, and I had been having an email exchange with him. He admitted to the challenges associated with a new establishment, and offered to buy me a meal next time I was in.
This was an impromptu lunch with my husband and me on a Monday afternoon, so I didn't call the manager to let him know I was coming. Plus, it has been a few months, he's probably forgotten, right?
I ordered the Tavern burger, medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly! My husband had the French dip, and although he said he would have liked more meat on the sandwich, it was very good.
The restaurant was fairly empty-- on the way out we were greeted by the manager, who asked us how our meal was. I introduced myself, and he said, "I think I have a gift card in my safe for you."
I think they have worked out the kinks--- food was good and now I have a gift card for a return visit! Thanks Bucket List! We will be back!
April 2024 There were six of us that went to this restaurant on a busy Friday night. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and the soup of the day which was tomato bisque. I only ordered the grilled cheese sandwich because I like the soup of the day and grilled cheese and tomato soup go together. My order arrived and it was the sandwich only and fries which I had asked not to have. I asked where my soup was. After 15 minutes the server came back and said I’m sorry we’ve sold out of the soup earlier today. Well if she would’ve told me that earlier, I would not have ordered the grilled cheese sandwich. The grilled cheese sandwich itself was very strange. There was hardly any cheese on the bread and it came with a bowl of liquid cheese that what was I supposed to do with it? I don’t know . My friend did not get her salad. After about 20 minutes of asking repeatedly, she finally got the salad, but it was supposed to have dressing on the side, but it had dressing on it.
The server was in and out, but we could not get her attention. It seemed as if she had a lot of tables. Towards the end of our night, the server came to our table and burst into tears, said the kitchen is yelling at her. We didn’t know what we’re supposed to do with this information, but it does seem like there was chaos in the kitchen and chaos in the restaurant. Three out of six of us had our meals comped. I don’t think this restaurant is...
Read moreA few weeks ago a friend of mine reached out wanting to get together while she was visiting Colorado. We met up here for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. The details are below, but overall it was an experience I would be happy to repeat.
The service: Despite having some initial trouble finding a table that would accommodate our needs, including a rather large car seat carrier, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They made sure we were happy with our table once we finally made a decision. Our waiter was prompt, polite, and helpful. He was able to offer honest and positive reviews of most things on the menu and recommended a very delicious cocktail when I couldn’t decide.
The atmosphere: While I found the indoor seating to be a bit noisy between the music and the tables (thought that is a good sign of a popular place), sitting out on their deck solved the problem. It was clean, comfortable, and laid back. The restaurant itself had a friendly, easy going vibe that was reminiscent of my childhood growing up in the Midwest. In other words, a relief from the hustled, fast pace that permeates the Denver tech culture.
The food: I ordered the “giggle melt” which was not only adorably named but also delicious! If you like grown up grilled cheese sandwiches, I recommend. The queso dip was so-so and the leaves something to be desired. The choices were also a bit limited to mainly meat-and-potato options, so to speak. If you’re looking for a list of healthy, veggie options, I’d go elsewhere.
Overall, this was a fun, casual, and friendly place with good food and even better staff. Thank you for the experience. We will...
Read moreEDIT: 8/6/2015 - Updating my review. We went back in tonight to give Bucket List a go again. We mentioned to the server (Sierra) about the drink charges from last time and she said that absolutely wasn't supposed to happen. She made things right with us. I think they upgraded their pickles. This time these were NOT green dyed nasties. This second meal was fantastic and the service was awesome. We really appreciated the care that Sierra took. Thank you!

Popped in last night for the first time to try Bucket List. We had a DonorTown coupon and figured, hey, why not?
The food we ordered was actually pretty delicious. My BBQ Bacon burger was cooked perfectly - I am extremely picky about having an extra well done burger, zero pink, and they hit the mark. My burger was full of flavor and still juicy. Thank you for that! My husband s French Dip sandwich was pretty delicious as well.
The downer to the sandwiches was the pickles and lack of lettuce for my burger. (I should have asked for some lettuce.) The pickles tasted like McDonald's burger pickles. For the style and cost of these burgers and sandwiches I would expect a better pickle, not thin pickles full of dye :(
The bigger issue was the server not informing us that soda refills are not free... they are $3.75 EACH! My husband had 3 cups of Pespsi, which were VERY full of ice and very little soda, which cost us $11.25! I can't remember the last time I had to pay for a soda refill. So, despite the food veibg delicious, this makes us reconsider returning.
And yes, we tipped pre...
