Food was fabulous. Salad bar even has fresh fruit, chunks of chicken, goldfish and a yummy pasta salad. The greens looked and tasted like fresh from the garden and the homemade dressings were perfect. The youngster in our party loved the macaroni and cheese. (Now, why it is that restaurants give kids the option to have fries or chips with Mac and cheese is a whole different subject for a different day.) We always love the food we've we easy at Manna.
The service today was a different story. I would give the STAR host/greeter an A+ for friendly, helpful, efficient and cheerful. Started us out great. But our waitress failed to bring a straw for the kids drink, never brought us plates for our salads. (We finally flagged down another waitress to get them after the child in our party had finished his Mac n cheese (almost half an hour), didn't bring promised gelato that was part of the kids meal until we finally had to ask for it go because we had finished our salads. When the gelato came there was no "to-go" spoon. So we asked for a plastic spoon. The waitress glared at us like we were evil and demanding and slowly stomped off. Eventually she brought the spoon and we went to the cashier to pay. There was no cashier. After a significant wait someone came yawning, but finally we were able to pay and leave. Unfortunately we had to change our afternoon plans because we spent so much time waiting for service. I will definitely go back but never if I have some place to be afterwards. There was not really even an apology for...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant inside the hospital in Castle Rock and I was blown away by the incredible experience I had. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great dining experience.
The prices were incredibly low, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. I was impressed with the selection of dishes, and decided to try the short braised beef dish which was absolutely delicious. The beef was tender and juicy, and the flavor was rich and complex. I also appreciated the generous portion size, which left me feeling satisfied without breaking the bank.
But what really made my experience stand out was the amazing customer service. The staff was attentive and responsive to all of my needs, making sure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. They were friendly and engaging, taking the time to chat with me and make me feel welcome.
I’ve had quite a few restaurants in castle rock and this place blows them away by comparison. This is an absolute gem at the hospital.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic meal with excellent customer service, low prices, and amazing flavors. The short braised beef dish was a standout, but I'm sure all of the other menu items are just as fantastic. Five...
Read moreWhat an amazing find. This restaurant is located inside the hospital. Apparently an award winning chef owns or runs this place. Very unique menu items which combine some standard american foods like burgers, pizzas and other asian fusion dishes. I got the Hong Kong chicken & waffles. Apparently they were out of the usual chicken tonkatsu style fried chicken, and asked if they could substitute with tenders. It turned out great. The server told me their thinly fried katsu is even better. What really made the dish was the combination of sauces. Chicken was covered in a tangy sambal mixed sauce. The waffle had a little bit of syrup, and a combination of some hot sauce, soy, and cream sauce. It was topped with spinach and thinly sliced beets. All the ingredients came together perfectly and the layers of textures really elevated the dish. I will have to go back and get it again with their katsu. Their soup was gingery, sweet, sour like a chicken tom yum soup almost. The candied ginger in the soup was good to eat. The broth was real and thick. Everything is affordably priced....
