Whataburger — Restaurant in Castroville

This location is often on the slow side; however, today took the cake. I got in line to order at 10:45 wanting breakfast. I was directly behind the car at the ordering station. My order was finally taken at 11:07. The employee taking my order told me that I couldn't have breakfast as they were now on lunch. At this point I'm stuck in line so I order a meal. 20 minutes later I finally get to the meal and hand the young man cash. He struggles to come up with 47 cents in change and then tells me my order will be ready shortly. He then hands me my drink which is a Dr. Pepper, not the Diet Coke I ordered. I ask him to correct it. He apologizes, gets another cup and proceeds to fill it again with Dr. Pepper. I pound on the window to get his attention and ask him again for a Diet Coke. He apologizes again and gets a third cup and stares at the dispenser, finally coming up with the diet coke button. He hands me my drink, telling me again that my food will be ready shortly. At 11:37 ish I'm finally handed my food, honked at by another irate customer because I"m not driving out of the parking lot fast enough for his taste and end my 45 minutes of hell in the Whataburger Drive-Thru. this location will not give you what you paid for, takes 25 minutes for a curbside/drive thru, and has stingy employees. they have forgotten whole burgers and cinnamon rolls from my orders, despite the upcharges to add them. food is mostly fresh, but they act like giving you a fancy ketchup is coming out of their own paycheck. put in the app i wanted 6 ketchups, when i got curbside i didnt get any. i had to get down and when i asked for a “handful” of fancy ketchups for me and my friend’s meals after a long shift, the manager gave me 2. in what universe is 2 ketchups a handful? this location is so stingy, i have to get down everytime i get a curbside just to get the damn ketchup they should’ve put in the first place. after 4 times you’d think they’d finally get it right. even in person, when they bring the sauce tray, i asked for some ketchup, got 1, and then when i asked for more i got a weird look. it’s like mr. krabs works here, so bewildered and stingy about free condiments and even paid items. go to the whataburger at potranco and 1604, it won’t be anywhere near the levels of...

It hurts me to give a whataburger 1 star but I've just had too many problems at this location. I always order online to ensure my order is put in right but I've gotten 2 wrong orders here. One time I waited for 30 minutes at curbside and when I went inside they told me my order had been brought out already. Even though the app said my order was still pending, and the time they claimed to have brought it out was less than 5 minutes after placing the order. They at least fixed it and got my order quickly after that. Another time there was a caterpillar or some other sort of squirmy thing in my meal. I reported this to customer service (with picture) and received a generic apology email from the operating partner that didn't at all address the situation and had my last name completely wrong.

Don't go to this location if you can avoid it. Best whataburger in the city that I've been to so far is at 410...
