Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Cave Creek

My husband and I have been driving 21 miles to this location for 27 yrs. This was the worst experience ever. There was an 8 person line at the counter and someone waiting at the drive thru. The only employee doing anything was a nice young man doing his best. When it was apparent none of the 3 girls in the back just chatting were going to help, he finally yelled back for help. One girl was heard saying, "Geez, I can never take a break in peace." She came around the corner with a look and attitude as if she was very put out. The other 2 stayed back just talking. I commend the young man because he never stopped working with a smile. The girls, however, made it clear they wanted to be elsewhere. It was just sad. We will be back, but won't stay if any of these girls are at...

Absolutely horrible experience. We didn't even get ice cream! We were waiting in line here to order. Line was getting a little long. So they opened a 2nd register... Ok. That's smart. But they dont take the next person in line. Nope. They take the back of the line. Seriously?! They don't say a thing to those people. They have had people waiting for 15 minutes in one line. The way to handle this was to take the next people in line. Not allow everyone to cut around. Adults doing this! Just rude and juvenile. We walked out. Headed to Quiktrip to get a much cheaper ice cream, that will be just as delicious, and bigger! Should have done that to begin with. We have always had bad service here. Just travel down Cave Creek...

Typical Dairy Queen, nothing spectacular to note. I will say it's one of the only places around this area where you can get ice cream and food and it has the only drive thru in Cave Creek. If you sit outside be aware that cars park just a few feet from where you are sitting and in the summertime they leave the engine running to keep the air conditioner on so you end up smelling car fumes while you eat, not to mention headlights blinding you. People are so unaware of it too. The workers are always nice, mostly local high school students. The DQ does support the Cave Creek School District with fundraisers so they help...
