Me and my man live out here in Gaston. Went to the new Waffle House out here in Gaston for the first time tonight. Although our server was nice, the over all staff from the moment we walked in the door at 11:15pm till we left an hour later.....were tense with horrible attitudes towards each other, customers were having their orders remade, took almost 10mins to wait for any available booth to be cleaned, another 25mins to have our order taken and drinks made. The cook needed our order repeated several times by our server and it was still not made correctly. After about 20 more mins, we get our food, I had to hunt down my own waffle syrup from one of the other several booths long been waiting to be cleaned off, half way into our meal, I found hair attached to my burnt bacon. No surprise as both cooks had thick beards. They comp'd our order, we tipped the server despite her forgetting our refills beyond the first initial tea and coffee served. Wasnt her fault the absent minded cooks required every minute of her time that she couldnt bus her own tables, think to refill our drinks, nor do dishes nor much else of anything waiting for her attention to be taken care of. The chairs occupying customers waiting for a clean table, left when they overheard hair was found in our food. Needless to say, we will not be going back to that...
   Read moreMy husband and I visited this establishment on December 28, and when we walked through the door everyone was face down on their phones, 4 tables were still dirty with plates, cups and flies were everywhere. I had to ask the manager who was dismissive to clean a table for us to sit. The manager was later asked about his name tag by another customer, he gave an excuse that they donât wear them because it gets dirty fast. We all agreed that the regular staff would have never done anything close to this and you would have been greeted at the door by Zac or Michelle and tables would be clean without flies. I would call corporate but I think contacting the restaurant would resolve the issue. This was no way to service the customer and they failed miserably. Get them training or get them out the door. I give grace to everyone because life happens, but this was no mistake...
   Read moreI've had some terrible waffle house service, but this is by far the worst I've ever received. Sat down before a large group and they were served before us, took 20 minutes to get drinks. Waitress forgot about my 3 year old autistic child's food and then he still didn't get his food before we got our check. My Texas bacon chicken melt didnt have bacon and neither did my husbands. I had a gift card and they didn't know how to use gift cards so I couldn't use it. The waitress didn't apologize or anything for the crappy service and just walked away after ringing me up. For a brand new waffle house, you'd think they would know what they were doing or had basic training. Typical...
