This is my favorite restaurant in Cedar City. The staff has been the same for years. The servers do an amazing job making everyone feel welcomed. They are always friendly and on the ball. We visit Brody's at least twice a month and usually more.
Every dish I've ever had here has been amazing. There gallo a la diabla (sp) is super tasty. It's also super spicy so if you eat it and your face falls off it's not my fault. I myself love it. The fajitas are also amazing. The meat is always tender, its served on a piping hot plate and the aroma assaults all your senses before it makes it to your table. The refried beans, a minor thing really, are the best refried beans I've had. Normally I throw them in a taco to keep everything sticking to the shell, at Brodys I eat them by themselves they are mouthwateringly yummy. I can say the same for the enchiladas, the tamales, the chimichangas and the molcajete (sp). The list goes on but you get the idea. Please do not leave here without trying one of their amazing street tacos. Carne asada is my fav, the hubby likes the Hawaiian pork. Anytime we take someone there for the first time we have to challenge them to eat one of the more "daring" street tacos. (You'll see when you get there)
The resraraunt is always clean even when it's super busy. Tables are promptly bussed making room for new customers. They just did a remodel and the new layout is wonderful. We have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a table but would gladly wait at brodys for an hour patiently because we know it's well worth the wait, thankfully we've not ever had to test that lol.
The owners are almost always on site. They work side by side with their staff. They make you feel welcomed and are always smiling.
I can't say enough good things about Brodys. Dont forget to try the salsa bar while you are there. My husband loves the mango salsa but I'm more of a fan of the guacamole salsa. The rumor is, the spice of the salsa is directly related to how much the owner has aggravated his wife... lol..... visit Brodys you won't be...
Read moreI want to start by acknowledging our waitress, Megan. She was probably one of the best I've ever had! She didn't hover but was on top of our refills, and checking in periodically but allowed us to enjoy our dinner.
We went for my birthday dinner last night, and wanted to go somewhere we haven't been yet. There is not a lot of parking close to the entrance.
It was a little hectic when we got there. They don't have a waiting list, so don't step out of line! The poor guy working the phone and front was rather frazzled, and it was really noticeable. There isn't a lot of room upon entering to sit/wait to be seated, but even with a full restaurant upon arrival, the wait wasn't bad.
I picked Brody's because I was super stoked to see pineapple shrimp fajitas on the menu. Which, their menu online is an outdated version of the one in the restaurant because prices didn't match. We tried to order the choriquesadilla, but they were out of chorizo so we got the birriaquesadilla instead. Was disappointed that it wasn't served with the birria sauce that birria is known for. It is also disappointing that you don't get unlimited chips & salsa, you have to pay if you want more than 1.
With all that said, dinner did not disappoint at all. I ordered the chicken, steak & shrimp fajitas and I cannot express how mouth watering delicious it was. Served in half a pineapple with their fajita seasoning, cheese, meat and pineapple chunks - I was full and still eating because it was so tasty. My man ordered the El Mean Molcjete which is meant to serve 2 people. It's served in a screaming hot volcanic rock bowl so even while he ate it was still bubbling. While I didn't sample his dinner, he said it was really, really good.
We will definitely be...
Read moreI want to preface by saying that I travel a lot, and have been to many many Mexican restaurants. That being said, Brody's is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere of Brody's is very special and unique. It offers a very down-to-earth, authentic, traditional Mexican experience; while also providing a fresh, modern, high-class feel. The restaurant is very neat and clean. Of the dozens of times I've been here, I have never once had an issue with the staff in any way; and the owner (Brody's father) can often be seen around the restaurant making sure everyone is being taken care of. Brody's offers some of the best tasting and highest-quality Mexican food I've ever had the pleasure of eating. My favorite dish personally is the Huarache. As far as price, Brodys is in the same ball park as it's competition, but it's worth so much more. I would happily pay extra to eat here. I've been wanting to write this review for a long time, and I'm glad I finally did. I truly cannot recommend Brody's enough. No restaurant I've been to has ever been more worthy of a five star rating. Truly a...
