In town for a baseball tourney and decided to have a nice dinner out. Kid chose the hibachi grill seating which worked fine for me. Ordered dinner, an appetizer, a roll and drinks. Just at the point that the chef was supposed to come out, the manager/host decided to set another party at our grill. Do you know what that means? If not, it means that our dinners wouldn't be cooked until the other people who joined our grill had been served and eaten all of their appetizers. I did not yell, but I did tell our server and manager in no uncertain terms that making us wait was unacceptable. We had a lovely server, Venessa who got caught in the crossfire - and was probably super bummed with the tip she wasn't going to get (I did tip her some because she did her best to rectify the situation - the manager honestly seemed to care more about keeping the chef happy to the detriment of the customer relationship).
Couple of things to keep in mind: 1) if you are seating and you know that the party has been sitting at the table for nearly 20 to 25 minutes, probably not a good idea to seat another group there; 2) if you are seating and you see that the person still has food in front of them perhaps you should not assume that they're not ready for dinner because you didn't take the time to ask the server how late that final roll came out after all of the other appetizers came to the table; 3) probably not in your favor that I was sitting close enough to the back room that I knew your server had told you that I was not pleased and that the chef needed to us taken care of ASAP. We gave him 7 minutes to come out before we got up and left; 4) don't keep telling me sorry with a disingenuous smile on your face - you made the WRONG decision - you should have taken responsibility for it.
To the owner: perhaps its not a good idea to basically have a teenager managing your restaurant. A smart manager would have suggested seating us in the restaurant area and bent over backwards to get food in front of us.
As you can guess, we...

I waited for over an hour for my order. 45 minutes into my wait, she comes up to me and tells me she "calculated the price wrong, and that I owe her 27 cents." Ok . . . I pull out the change to pay her, and she refuses it . . . ok . . .
I finally get my food and take it home.
Miso soup - Powdered. Not even mixed. The powder mix was thrown into some hot water and the lid was put on. Mixed it myself and tried to eat it. Almost vomited.
Teriyaki - Laughable. The chicken was boiled and did not have the sauce on it. Sauce was watery, and tasted awful. There was half an orange in it, and there were no vegetables except for a pinch of raw cabbage.
Salad - Brown and rotten. I am legitimately offended by this point.
Sushi rolls - I ordered a Philadelphia roll. This is a salmon, cream cheese, and avocado roll. I specifically asked to NOT put any cucumber in it at all. I asked for a Philadelphia roll with Shrimp tempura. Then, because she didn't speak english so well, I said fried shrimp, cream cheese, and avocado. Rolls were disgusting. Something was wrong with the wasabi; It tasted powdery. The ginger was not fresh. The shrimp was still in its shell. Neither roll had avocado, and were both swimming in cucumber.
This place is terrible. I will not be going back. I do not suggest anyone else going. I payed over 30 dollars for this meal, and for every part of it to be terrible is just a disgusting show of service.

Read moreSo for my girlfriend's birthday, I made a reservation a week in advance for the hibachi and I also specified that my girlfriend has never tried sushi and if they could bring sushi to The hibachi and they said yes. So the birthday comes and I get there and they say that I have to share with someone else which is fine I get it until I get in and see that absolutely no other hibachis are being used. That's whatever, then as they're bringing us appetizers and whatnot the waitress never cleans off the table so when the hibachi guy comes and start serving us we have to try to eat over our mess. They bring out a sushi platter and I naturally think it's for my girl's birthday but it was the other group of people that ordered it and I'm already eating it and sharing it with my family even though the waitress gave it to me. They charged me $40 for that sushi plate that I didn't order. My hot Japanese tea was cold and my onion soup was lukewarm. I brought my girlfriend here because my past experiences with this place was very good this was very bad. The only thing I can say was the hibachi griller was very entertaining and very good besides that the service was horrible. Oh and did I mention this was supposed to be a birthday party yeah they didn't even know that they had to be reminded by the other people at the table that wasn't even there for my...
