Cons- Room readiness, comfort of mattresses and pillows, breakfast quality and selection, helpfulness and friendliness of staff, ants and appearance of rooms, furniture in rooms, “amenities” (pool and exercise area) Pros- proximity to Swig? We stayed here six years ago and I left a four star review. Wow, has it gone downhill. Details: We arrived two hours after the advertised check-in time and still couldn’t check in. No apology, no discount—just a shrug, despite the fact that early check-in would have cost extra. Front desk service was consistently poor: unfriendly, slow, and unhelpful. At one point, three guests waited at the counter while an employee ignored them to chat with a coworker. Another guest who asked for quarters to use the on-site laundry was told, “We don’t have any, and we don’t know how to get you any.” When we raised concerns about the freezing pool temperature, the response was, “I’ll leave a note for maintenance,” with no follow-up or explanation. The amenities were disappointing. The pool was ice-cold—closer to Bear Lake than a hotel pool. The fitness room had no treadmill, and while there was a water jug, there were no cups. It felt like the bare minimum was offered, and even that was incomplete. The rooms were equally underwhelming. One had ants crawling across the floor and table. A broken window latch wouldn’t close fully. The bathroom fan emitted a foul odor every time it ran. Pillows were worn down to the texture of packing peanuts, and the furniture was cheap—no drawers, just open shelves. Renovations seemed rushed and sloppy, with paint streaks on curtains and fixtures. The TVs defaulted to full volume every time they were turned on, and while the mattresses weren’t awful, they lacked give and transferred every movement. The complimentary breakfast was also subpar. The only fruit available were small, bland apples. Oatmeal was prepackaged and flavorless. The exact same items were served every day, and the only eggs offered were powdered and unpleasant in both taste and texture. Seating was limited and often unavailable. Overall, this hotel cuts corners at every turn. Between the poor service, shoddy rooms, disappointing amenities, and lackluster breakfast, I can’t recommend staying here.

My partner and I made the mistake of not reading all the reviews before booking, don’t do the same thing we did! We assumed our stay would be fine, since we have enjoyed previous stays at other Comfort Inn’s before… a foolish mistake on our part. We waited 15 minutes in the cluttered/unfinished lobby with absolutely nobody around to check us in. Once we finally checked in, we were not pleased to see the state of the room we stayed in. The room was unclean and unfinished. It was like a run down apartment that had a “landlord special” job all over the room. Lighting fixtures were missing, paint was spattered all over the counters, the paint job on the walls was clearly unfinished, and my white socks turned black/brown after walking across the floor just once! To add insult to injury, the AC unit in the room made this awful grating noise throughout the whole night. The bed was so firm that we may as well have slept on a granite slab. We were exhausted by the time we had to get up in the morning after such a poor nights sleep. The rest of the hotel area was also clearly in disarray. The lobby had lots of boxes piled up on the seating area, there was a “meeting room” across from our room that was open and filled to the brim (literally from floor to ceiling) with chairs, boxes, tables, and junk. The carpet was coming up in places along the hallway walls, you get the picture. At checkout, there were thankfully people already around so we didn’t have to wait to check out. However, the two staff were sortof arguing the whole time? It was really awkward for us. One staff said “I can never get a break” and the lady checking us out told her “Please all you do is take breaks”. It was just very pretty sounding and super awkward to listen to the lady checking us out be so rude to the other staff member. Maybe they knew each other well and it was a joke, but that didn’t make it any less awkward for us as we tried to leave. For the price we paid, we could’ve stayed literally anywhere else in Cedar and had a significantly better stay. We will never be staying at a Comfort Inn again.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but our stay at Comfort Inn was unacceptable. The hotel is clearly outdated, and the condition of the room reflected a serious lack of care and cleanliness. We stayed here 10 months ago and their "renovation" still is ongoing and it actually looks worse than it did then. The paint job is...um, seriously lacking. The bathroom was particularly disgusting — hair was stuck to the walls, the toilet handle was broken, and the shower curtain had visible mold. There was no hairdryer provided, which should be a basic amenity. The overall room felt dirty and poorly maintained, making it uncomfortable to even unpack. The mattresses are hard as a rock and the pillows smell like my grandparent's from the 1970s. Neither TV remotes worked and the TVs themselves look like they are from two decades ago. One wouldn't even turn on. The pool is unkempt with no towels and the hot tub jets haven't worked since we were here 10 months ago. There are screens missing from the windows which allows bugs to fly inside the pool area. It’s clear this property is in dire need of renovations and a serious overhaul of its cleaning standards. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone expecting even a minimally clean and functioning room.

Beautiful facility, great breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bedding, and the wi-fi and A/C are absolutely horrible! Our experience may not have been typical, but we rolled in looking forward a cool, refreshing two-night stay after several days in the desert.

We checked in early and were given a room on the 3rd floor. We got up to the room and it was hot and stuffy so I set the A/C thermostat to 68F and we left and went to supper. We came back expecting a cool, comfortable room only to find it only slightly cooler and the A/C not running.

I dropped the thermostat to 64F. The air kicked back on and my wife jumped in the shower and shouted to warn me that the commode seat was broken completely in two just as I tried to turn on the TV only to find that the remote didn’t work.

I called the front desk and the clerk came right up and said she would turn in a work order on the commode seat. She tried the remote and got it where it would change channels but wouldn’t turn the TV on/off nor change the volume. In the meantime, the A/C had kicked off again and the room was still probably 74F. I told her we would get by with the commode seat and remote for the night but what about the A/C.

She explained that all the rooms/units were like that. They run for about 10 minutes and kick off – no matter what the thermostat is set at. Then after about 10 minutes, they kick back on for another 10 minutes. And so it went all night without ever getting the room to a comfortable temp. On/off. On/off. There was no way to leave the fan running to circulate the (too warm) room air, so every time the A/C kicked on, it sounded like a plane taking off and we alternated from being slightly cool from the air blowing on us to sweating slightly as we waited for it to come back on.

(By the way how does housekeeping clean the room and either not notice or not turn in a repair order so that they don’t rent the room with a completely broken commode seat?)

We went out the next day and returned that afternoon to find the commode seat replaced but the TV remote still didn’t work and when I called the front desk, I was told that they had to wait on DISH to call and tell them how to fix it and that there was nothing they could do. Housekeeping had made the bed and dropped off fresh towels but left a dirty towel hanging on the shower curtain rod and didn’t replenish the used shampoo and conditioner… and the room still wasn’t cool and we had another restless night due to the A/C

Oh, and by the way, while there is always a strong wi-fi signal, the internet connection drops out and lags horribly at night when there are a lot of users. It was impossible to use effectively at night. It worked ok during the day. When I called the desk about the wi-fi, I was given a direct help-line number to their internet provider and was told there was nothing that the motel staff could do.

Overall, these were probablhy the worst two nights we have ever spent at a...

We arrived early, a couple of hours before the 3pm check-in. But we knew that and just wanted to make sure things were ready and the room assigned when we came back. The clerk was very nice and said the room would be ready at 3pm. We left to sight-see and shop and we returned at 3:45pm, 45 minutes after the posted check-in time. The clerk then said that the room had not been cleaned yet and went to check with one of the cleaning people. We could then see the cleaning person run through the lobby, heading for the elevator, I assume to start cleaning our room. I then asked to be put into another room that was ready and was told there were no more available rooms. After long hours of driving that day we just wanted to have a good rest. Now we were being delayed. We then left to eat earlier than we had planned and arrived back over an hour later and the room was ready. We then just wanted to relax and we turned on the TV. It didn't work. After trying every button, we called the desk and the same clerk tried to give us an instruction over the phone but that didn't work. She then came to the room and couldn't get the TV to work right. I then asked for another room and she said she's check back at the desk and would get back with us. In the meantime, after playing with the remote more, the TV finally started working. I called the desk and told her I had it working and she said that she was about to move us to a different room but we didn't need that at that point. (Remember when I asked for a different room when we found out that ours wasn't cleaned yet and was told "there are no other rooms"...???) So then I went to the soft drink machine on our floor (2nd) and it was empty. I then went to the machine on the 3rd floor but it wouldn't take dollar bills, only quarters. Then I went down to the desk (1st floor) and asked for eight quarters. I mentioned to the clerk that the machine on my floor was empty and she said, "Yes, we've been trying to get that filled back up". I didn't bother asking her what day that might happen. She did tell me that I could go somewhere across the street to a convenience store and buy a soda there... I didn't smile when I said that wasn't going to happen! I went back to the 3rd floor, got my drink and returned to the 2nd floor to my room, even more frustrated. Finally, after just starting to settle in and relax and watch some TV, I could then hear the cleaning people outside our room, vacuuming and cleaning other rooms. It was 7:50pm and they were still cleaning rooms! It's just the small things that bother you after traveling all day. You kind of expect and hope the hotel experience will be uneventful and you can relax. But this experience was not relaxing at all. The room and hotel was clean, the bed nice and we slept good here probably because we were exhausted from all of the...

I am not normally one to complain but this stay deserves it. POOL- Pool despite being indoors was freezing. My 10 year old started turning blue while in it. The pool had some sort of grainy substance on the bottom. It needed to be vacuumed out. The pool area is so small, that even having one kid in the pool the walls are echoing every sound. We stayed at this hotel with family, we had 10 kids in the pool area and it was horribly loud. We all had headaches afterwards. BEDS- The beds were so hard and sqeaky. We had 10 beds between all of our family members and it was the complaint from every single person. ROOMS- I have had young kids before, but I was locked into my room working on a midterm project for a couple hours. The nosie level in the halls and the ability to hear from other rooms was miserable. There was a baby and a toddler screaming on and off for at least 2 hours. It sounded like they were standing outside my door screaming, when in fact their room door was at least 20 feet from mine. BREAKFAST- We stay at Choice Hotel as our first choice 99% of the time. My kids love the breakfast and there is normally a good variety. For being a Comfort Inn and Suites we would rate this as the worst breakfast we had from all our stays. We have had much better food from the lower end Choice Hotels. Selection was horrible and limited. It was basically one choice or maybe two. Yogurt was super grainy, like it was old. Sausage was way over cooked and looked like it might kill you. Seriously no apple juice, that is like a Choice Hotel staple. Most of us didn't eat much and we and got food after checking out.

There were nice things too. CHECK IN- This by far wash my fastest and easiest check in at any Choice Hotels. Check in staff was sweet and very professional. ROOM- We loved that we could get the suites that had separate rooms. I was able to take my self away from kids to do school. The suite was also spacious. The 6 of us felt like we all could have space. HOTEL- The appearance from outside, the entry way and the hallways was very nice looking. It is kinda deceiving from the experience you get. LOCATION- This hotel was located right off the freeway. It was easy to get to. STAFF- All staff that we interacted with we nice and professional. It was a busy night for this hotel, but they all handled it with a smile. Even the two ladies handling the breakfast area. When my autistic son had a meltdown over the food. They stayed professional.

Please make the overall experience match the beauty of the outside and entryway...
