Park Discovery — Attraction in Cedar City

This park was recently demolished, even though a lot of hard work went into it, it could have been handled and dismantled much more responsibly! What's the obsession with demolishing everything? The resources could have been utilized by taking it apart responsibly piece by piece instead of leaving it in piles of rubble to be sent to the landfill! A lot of it was built with trex and that stuff lasts forever. We have literally no conscience awareness around how to deal with our waste responsibly! The parking lot is kind of small but there's plenty of other alternatives for parking and it looks like there's a big pool across the street. You can have a lot of fun...

This is such a cool park, it's just so sad that it hasn't been maintained. The musical parts don't play because they are full of bark, lots of the swings are missing, the paint on the wood is coming off, the wood is warping and the whole area is in desperate need of more wood chips. To invest so much into building such an amazing space and then to not maintain it is just a shame. This is one of the best offerings Cedar City has, it would be nice if they put some money back into breathing new life...
