Culver's — Restaurant in Cedar City

I've been twice in the last month. Which is a clear sign that it's not horrible. That being said it's certainly not my first pick of places to eat. Each time it was somebody else's choice to eat there. And each time I tried something different. The burgers are a solid meh. I also tried the chicken sandwich it had okay flavor but was a little on the dry side and had virtually non-existent sauce on the bun like maybe maybe somebody put one dot and then tried to spread it across the entire bun. Their main dishes need work overall. But the sides and the ice cream are what saves the day for these guys. I don't think I've had a bad concrete mixer from them yet. I've also been known to have some sensitive guts when dairy is involved and have never had a problem with their ice cream. So if you also suffer from similar dairy afflictions but have the love for dairy this is the place to get that craving satisfied. The fries are some of the better fries in town definitely not the best but in the top five. The cheese curds if you're a cheese nut such as myself are always a safe bet. If I never got any of the sides I probably would have ranked the place around a two maybe a three star due to the meh experiences I've had with their burgers on several occasions and with the chicken sandwiches especially for the price that you pay for them. You can get twice the flavor for way less money at Wendy's or somewhere. The reason why they get a comfortable four stars is for all of their sides. Haven't had a bad side yet. Typically culver’s is a great place that me and my friends love to go after temple outings, football games, or just some good food! The food has always been good and the ice cream is the best but this last time I went I had the worst experience i’ve ever had in any service establishment. Me and my friends ordered our food as usual but didn’t realize until we were waiting that we weren’t asked if it was a dine in or take out order. So when the first of us received our food we asked if it was actually possible to put our numbers to go. As the runner took our food back to be packaged and pass the message along, the boy working that front station began tirade of nasty comments. Starting with a loud volume stating the ticket says dine in and “how dumb can you be” from then the comments escalated to “watch them get there food and eat it here, i’ll actually crash out, i have a very low tolerance for stupidity” It went on for about 5 minutes at a volume all of his coworkers and customer could hear. He also mentioned that he had just clocked in around 4pm and it was 4:15 so he wasn’t ready for a break yet, so i have a hard time giving empathy for a long work day in the service industry if you have just walked in and are treating the first people you see with nasty comments. He kept his back turned to us the entire time but i have a close connection with someone in this location and was able to learn his name. This is the absolute worst Culver's that I've ever been to. I transport things across country and stop at Culver's all the time I always rave about how great they are and fast but not this one! I waited almost 40 minutes for my food washed other people ask for refunds. One lady while standing there said that she didn't remember her order number and they just tossed a new order number paper at her. When I finally had enough I asked them for a refund about 40 minutes waiting! The guy behind the counter said what do you want a refund for I said because I've been standing here over half an hour. He said I have your food right here! And I had to tell him that my order was to go not the one that he had in his hand so it still wasn't correct. If you're in a hurry trying to get on and off the highway just go down a few more blocks to the dairy Queen. Terrible experience !!! A bunch of kids were in the back just talking about video games and what they were doing after work, speeding tickets that they had got on their way to work their class schedules etc. Horrible experience I don't know how these people have a 4.4 I have every intention on calling their corporate office about this one the people were rude and disrespectful in fact the girl behind the register said that I caught them at a rush when there was three vehicles in the parking lot LOL if you know Culver's that's not a rush and this team there could definitely not handle the rush had a busy Culver's.
