Cooper's Taproom — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

Long story short. Absolute nightmare service, terrible food, stay away.

First the place was definitely less than 25% capacity when we ordered. Never got “busy” while we were there

we had three different servers. I watched the one that took our order write it down perfectly, then she disappeared. And the second server that came over told us that we were supposed to put a card down before ordering? We weren’t sitting at the bar, we were having dinner in a booth at 5:30pm and then she told us they couldn’t add card info to an open tab so she had to close us out and start a new tab, so we paid for our food a good hour+ before we ever got it. It was really weird and dumb.

Second- we got there at 5:30, ordered our food around 5:45, and it took over an hour for four people’s orders. They conveniently brought the food out 5-10 min after we (respectfully) asked how long it would be. Friends order had the wrong side and I ordered wings with sauce and a ranch on the side, and they brought out naked wings with no sauce on the side.

got a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and got Nashville Hot wings. They obviously just squirted the sauce over the wings and were not generous at all with the portion. It was not “Nashville Hot” NH is a heavy vinegar-based sauce and it tasted more like a...

My friends and I felt singled out perhaps because of prejudice. It was karaoke night they skipped our our song while playing everyone else’s song and telling us to move off the stage. They continued to play every single song after. I never shouted out any song. The music had played for a second and then was skipped and never played again. We didn’t demand anything, and no one was singing at the time. There was nothing communicated about who was in the queue considering the song had already started playing and was skipped. I was completely aware of karaoke night and fully prepared to sing to karaoke. I guess I didn’t understand how we were told multiple times we couldn’t play a song but the Dj was singing (karaoke) pretty consistently. We seen other girls going up and still being able to sing while telling us no. That’s not a sincere apology, but...

Loved the atmosphere but waited over an hour for tachos and it wasn’t even that busy. when the food arrived, it was basically tater tots with some sprinkled tomatoes and onions. Could barely find the meat and there was zero cheese! Who doesn’t put cheese on nachos? I would go again to this place just to have a beer, but not for food. Ps…Our waitress...
