Went here for dinner with a party of four. We all agreed it was the best Indian food we'd ever had. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. Dishes were attractively arranged; even the iced tea looked special, with a disc of lemon floating on top. We had a mixed platter of naan. It was all good, and the variety stuffed with onions was outstanding. Our appetizer was fried cheese. We ordered butter chicken, chicken korma, mint chicken kabobs, and a veggie dish of peas and potatoes. We loved them all and ranked them in the above order. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked, and all servings were generous. Although we were full, we had to try dessert. One of us ordered milk dumplings and found them a little bland. The others ordered rice pudding, mango pudding, and dough balls in syrup. All three were wonderful. Some thought the dough balls were a little too sweet, but others did not. We all agreed a perfect dessert would be layers of rice pudding and mango pudding, maybe with a dough ball on top!
Our server's name was Paty, and she did a great job, being friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and warm. The whole visit was delightful, and we all want to eat there again soon, even though two of us are from out of town. Highly...
Read moreI had a horrible experience there last Saturday and will not return. The customer service was terrible, no one is managing. I called at 6:20 placed an order to go, got there at 7, was told my food wasn’t ready although they told me it would be done in 40 minutes. I waited there for another 20 minutes checking in w the front desk person, who told me She didn’t know when my food would even be ready and I was welcome to leave and come back (after an hour of waiting). I finally asked to see if my food was even started, she checked and they hadn’t even started making it yet so I got a refund and left. No one really apologized or anything, except the front desk girl when I was walking out. There were also many people upset and coming to the front to pay bc their waiter wouldn’t come back to get their check and they were told no- they couldn’t pay at the front, only by their waiter.. and the front desk person didn’t do anything- didn’t go get their waiter- nothing. So they were trapped there basically. There are also no adults working there, they are all teens and it’s a...
Read moreI have been here twice for the lunch buffet and once for dinner. I had been waiting until I tried dinner before writing a review. So here goes- Lunch buffet - I would rate it maybe 2.5 stars at most. Food options were just like any other Indian lunch buffet. But the food was very bland. I understand this is mostly this way for the non- Indian customers. But I think the spice levels can definitely be turned up, even for them. Dinner - I would give it a 4-4.5. So you could say my overall rating is purely for dinner. We ordered medium spice level. We got Channa masala, malai kofta, mint chicken kebabs and vegetable pakoras. Our friends got butter chicken and mutton korma. Everyone loved their food. And we also got the mango lassi which was great as well. Just the vegetable pakoras were a little burnt. But the rest of the food was extremely tasty! I had avoided going here based on my lunch experience for a long time, but I am glad I finally did. Ambience is just okay. Customer service is pretty good. Cedar Valley can finally say it has a good Indian...
