We order Panera maybe once a month as a splurge, usually delivery. They’ve forgotten pieces of our order in the past and I usually ignore it as mistakes happen. This time, we ordered a premium family feast and a couple other items. We paid a ‘convenience fee’, ‘delivery fee’, and left a tip on top of just the price of our order. Our total was $73.00. Quite expensive. When we received our order we noticed that part of the order was missing, the salad was incorrect and that one of the 1/2 sandwiches were incorrect as well. I called to notify them, and they offered a refund of the items (although this was part of a bundle essentially so didn’t state how much would be refunded) or that they would replace the items if we came into the store. It defeated the whole purpose of us getting delivery but we wanted the items, therefore drove to the store. When we got to the store, they provided us the missing item but wouldn’t replace the salad, or incorrect 1/2 sandwich. (They did offer us a pastry item though?)
Truthfully, for the price of the items/order and the fact that we had to come in to get it corrected after already paying the convenience fee, the delivery fee, and the tip, they least they could do was replace the salad that was incorrect. I didn’t fight too hard because it was busy and the poor girl at the counter was just doing her best to handle all the costumers. No manager or lead came out to talk to me, they just sent the cashier back out to handle even though there was a line building.
I was a manager in retail for nearly 10 years and I’d say that it’s not how I personally would handle the situation. I understand that mistakes happen which is why I tried not to escalate the situation. But the fact that we order frequently and also run into missing items frequently and then 1 time that we call/come in to correct the situation and this is how it was handled was really disappointing. As a large chain restaurant I feel like the least they could have done was just replace my $8.00 salad. I just think that for the money you spend at a place like this who is profiting at I’m sure an extremely large rate could correct a simple situation like this. But instead decided they didn’t care. Just...
Read moreThe Cedar Falls Panera has always treated me so well when I need to coordinate caterings for my workplace. Multiple times they have been able to squeeze me in in a short time frame, and are happy to do it and never complain. Every time I have worked with them they are super attentive, detailed, and friendly to work with. I have never had an unpleasant experience with their team. They make the process very easy and stress free for me as well! It is so nice that they are able to cater both breakfast and lunch as well. The vareity of food they have is awesome as well! You can get a little bit of everything for everyone, including drinks like coffee and orange juice. One stop shop for sure, with no work on my end! I love working with them for caterings and will continue to always think of them for my catering needs and would recommend them to...
Read moreOverpriced, extremely salty food. They put so much salt in every single thing. I very rarely eat out. I usually make food at home. So, when I ate at panera, I was extremely disappointed. I can overlook the price, but the quality wasn't very well. Just adding a ton of salt does not make food better. There are so many people suffering from hypertension and these restaurants are just helping it. I know that I should not blame them for it, but dear fellow Americans, take care of your health. There are many other restaurants who make sure not to add to much salt upon request, but I think at panera, they make the pastas and soups in bulk, so they can't decrease the amount of salt and fat upon your request. I won't be going...
