My experience at Cedar Hill Chillis seemed to be going well until I witnessed a waiter drop some chips and salsa in front of a table. Of course, everyone makes mistakes, but the waiter, Keith, froze for 30 seconds and ran off with out apologizing or attempting to clean up the mess. Luckily, two of our hostesses were near by, and helped out by giving the couple seated napkins and a wet cloth. To my surprise, when the waiter came back he yelled at the two young hostesses for not helping clean up the mess. Keep in mind, THEYRE HOSTESSES! They are not the ones who get the tip, they are just supposed to seat the customers with menu and silverware. As far as restaurant etiquette, I thought they did their job correctly. Furthermore, the waiter never asked for help when he ran away stone-faced after spilling chips, salsa, and shards of glass everywhere. He was also unprofessional when he decided to light up the restaurant by yelling at two teenage girls. The manager kindly spoke to the table, then took the two girls outside to speak with them. When they resumed their job, I noticed them kindly try to diffuse the situation by telling the customers at the chip and salsa laden table that they were sorry for the confusion and misunderstanding. Only to find out, the customers has placed a complaint on them for not cleaning up the mess!! As if they didn't have other people to seat at tables ?!?? They don't have time to try to play "captain rescue stone-faced Keith" because they're doing their job. Unfortunately, I witnessed one of the teenage girls run to the back and burst into tears after being lit up by the rude customers and rude co-worker. My advice : get yourself a new job, sweetie. You certainly don't deserve that crappy place & they aren't worth your tears. Cedar Hill Chilli's- Where They Make Teenage Girls Cry. Real smooth Chillis,...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I just got off a 12 hour shift, check hit and I figured I’d treat myself to some takeout. Haven’t had Chilli’s in a while so I decided to order from them. Placed my order online, which forced me to pay a $4 gratuity on top of the $20 plus I paid for my order. The order confirmations sent to me from the site said that my order would be ready between 8:55 - 9pm and that they would text me to come inside for pickup once it was ready. I went to the restaurant at 9:00, no greeter at the to go booth and 2 servers, assuming by how the wear dressed, were obviously off the clock but literally standing in the kitchen with their coats on - unsanitary. I stood there for a moment, no one ever greeted me or acknowledged I was there. I had to walk through the restaurant to find someone to let the kitchen know I was there for my order. This took a few minutes, was handed my food at 9:07p and it was cold, all of it. Not a good feeling to spend $30 including paying for a tip for such bad service and cold food. I started to ask for a manager to let them know my food was cold and to ask for it to be remade but no telling how long that would’ve have taken so I left. Horrible...
Read moreWe went in on a Saturday night with a party of four. Our wait time was 45 minutes. We got seated and it didn't take long for our waiter to come take our order. C4, our waiter, was prompt and very cheerful. I believe he was the only waiter working the bar area that night. He took our order and we waited almost an hour for our soups to come out. When C4 passed by the table to check on us he noticed that we hadn't received any food and went to check on it for us. Shortly after the soups came out and about ten minutes later our main course came out as well. I ordered the spicy shrimp tacos. Everything on my plate was cold. I told C4 but told him I would keep it cause I was just going to take it home and eat it later anyway. My reason for the 3 stars is because we sat next to where the to go orders were picked up and the service over there was just as slow as ours. And people kept coming back because the order was missing things are just not made right. But when you looked in the kitchen you can see the workers on their phones or just talking amongst each other. We asked the manager if they were short staffed that night and she replied no. They just didn't...
