I went yesterday and ordered my bundt cakes and paid the extra fee to get it wrapped, add ribbon and happy birthday banner. The young man at the register told me it was a 5-10 minute wait since it was just me in the store and another lady that was already taken care of. They get a rush, and it has been 20 minutes, I did not ask for help because I know they just had a rush and were very busy. Rush goes by, I'm still standing, and the two young men are just standing there not acknowledging that I'm still there and are back and forth from the front to the back. The young girl asked what I was waiting on, and I tell her, she comes back 2–3 times to ask me the name, flavor and then what decorations I asked for. She offered a free bundt cake because of the wait and apologized. I first I was upset, but then I was okay it's fine, they apologized. It then takes another 20 minutes for them to wrap it, and others after me were taken care before me. I get my order and head home, and realized they forgot the birthday banner when the whole point of the wrapping is for someone's birthday (I know I should've checked but regardless, it was asked for when I ordered). I was here for almost an hour and staff was sweet but could have checked on my order, especially the boy who took it. Girl with curly...
Read moreI ordered a cake online three days before to be ready at 9 am for my father’s birthday. Running errands, I arrived around 9:40. The cashier went to the back to get my order and it was incorrect. I ordered the lite drizzle option and it had the original thick “petals” of icing. I brought the error to their attention and they said it didn’t say that on the order ticket and had to check on the computer. Just as I was about to pull it up on my phone, they found it and said it did say lite drizzle. I was then told I would have to wait 20 minutes to fix their mistake. (Mind you, there’s no seating in the place.) They offered me nothing as I waited. No manager on staff came out to apologize. The lady in the back (in charge?) seemed irritated at me for having to look up my order and fix the cake. She said not word to me in apology. Finally, 17 minutes later, my cake was ready. The lite drizzle looked NOTHING like the picture on the website, but I was ready to get out of that place! To add insult to the injury, the cashier, who was very polite, gave me 3 BOGO coupons, but they were EXPIRED! Also, when I got in my car, I noticed a big plug was missing out of part of the cake! I WILL NOT BUY ANY LARGER CAKES FOR ANY CELEBRATIONS IN THE FUTURE! Luckily, my Dad still enjoyed the taste...
Read moreI was given a surprise get-together last weekend. I was supposed to have a classic vanilla cake with the gift box decorations. The cake was missing the proper decorations, it was a WHOLE LEMON CAKE & so moist, so when I cut it, the cake was falling apart. OH! DID I MENTION, I DO NOT EAT LEMON! I don't drink lemon water, I HATE lemon candy. A couple family members were ok with it BUUUUT it wasn't their birthday. The description card clearly said "classic vanilla". My message card was all kinds of wrong! They spelled only 4 words correctly. Some letters were cut off of the card, some letters were bigger than others. This Cedar hill location was not accommodating, empathetic, nor sympathetic for THEIR MULTIPLE MISTAKES with my BIRTHDAY cake. Our only option was wait on replacement cake at time of complaint (next evening) or get a raincheck for replacement cake. A refund was out of the question. It would've all been ok had they shown a bit more compassion & professionalism because the birthday girl didn't get any birthday cake!!! The cakes are already a bit overpriced for what you receive but we support anyway because of the flavor and ANTICIPATED EXPERIENCE within Nothing Bundt Cakes. ADVICE: TREAT IT LIKE IT WAS...
