As long as my family and I have been customers of IHop (for years), we've never experienced the service we did last night on Easter Sunday. We've only had a couple of minor negative service in the past: but, nothing like what we encountered last night. We were a party of (8), and when we arrived there was only 1 other table with customers there, who was about to leave. We ordered our drinks first as usual. Our waiter (Carlson) greeted us with a smile and asked were all our orders on separate tickets or 1? I responded back 1 ticket, in which he was happy, by responding to us thank you for making my job a little easier by putting the orders on 1 ticket. At the time, we didn't realized Carlson and the manager (Lisa) on clock then (who was also the cook) were the only 2 people in the restaurant. After our arrival, 3 other table of customers arrived and was seated. At this time Carlson (our waiter) seem to be stretched to his far limitations. Some of our food arrived, and right away the orders were mixed up badly. Carson, who was very frustrated told us he will let the cook know. At this time, the rest of our food arrived. Again the orders was mixed, as well as mashed potatoes that was running and not fully cooked and burger meats that was raw when you bite into. My fish nugget broke in half when I took a bite. At this time our waiter (Carlson) was extremely frustrated, that he was getting ready to walk out. It's when he told us the manager was also cooking and didn't know what she was doing. At this time, more customers was entering the restaurant, with only 2 people working the entire restaurant by themselves. We begged our waiter to please don't walk out. He was doing his best, under a chaotic and stressful environment. As our meals was taken back (just about all our orders), 2 more employees finally walked in. As they walked in, the manager (Lisa) walked out the door. We so badly wanted to walk out too, but our other restaurant choice was about to close, and we definitely felt bad for our waiter. About 15 minutes or so after, the manager return back. She came to our table and was kind and asked us did we need anything else, in which we did preceded nicely telling her what was needed. We was still waiting on our food, which the cook was recooking. Although we could see the esteemed frustration on our waiter's face, as well as the manager who was cooking before the actual cook arrived, he continued working hard trying to work all the tables. Although we paid full price for our meal, we still gave a tip just to show our support to our waiter. We remain calm during the entire time we were there, but we was not happy with the service received, and understood the (2) employees there did their best. We're unsure at this time if and when we will return, because the restaurant needs more employees to ensure customers are given the services needed and expected, as well as the employees are given the help and support of their team, so they don't have to be put in positions that pressure them to want to quit and give up. If the manager is cooking, how can they give their full attention to their employees and customers? These (2) photos show partially how the food looked. We love coming to this restaurant, but after last night's experience, and we're not so sure. It bothered us along just seeing the struggles both the cook (manager Lisa) and waiter (Carlson) went through. I think they should be applaud for their efforts of pushing through doing their best for their customers. Our waiter (Carlson) apologize so many times to us, and expressed how badly he felt for the service we endured. He asked us to please not report the manager Lisa. We don't really blame this on Carlson nor Lisa, given the position they were placed in. We...
Read moreIt was the single worst trip to an IHop in my whole life. We waited over 35 minutes to be seated after we were told that there would only be a 10 minute wait time. Two gentlemen were seated before us when they had arrived 15 minutes after we arrived When we first walked in there were 5 servers standing at the front of the restaurant (and I loosely say restaurant at this point). They were standing around while a new applicant was searching for a job... We weren't even acknowledged for a good 4 minutes. Then one of them asked how many were in our party of 2. Then she said it would be a 10 minute wait. Like I first stated we waited 35 minutes to be seated. We were tired and in a hurry as my mother in law was being buried early the next morning and we still had things to do. We went there only because it was one of my mother in law 's favorite places to eat.
Our server finally got to our table. We asked for tea. The kid puts ice in our glasses then dumps some ice out of the glasses. We end up with warm tea with barely a few ice cubes in it We ask for more ice. He brings a glass of ice and I tell him to keep it coming throughout our meal. Oh and our server would not speak up and enunciate his words. He finally brings our orders My husband's BLT had brown lettuce on it and hardly any bacon. My hamburger patty was extremely well done almost burnt. The onion rings were very overdone.
The floor in front of the beverage station was dirty. The person who was supposed to mop it as she kept going through the motions of mopping but accomplished nothing towards cleaning the mess. She and the other servers kept stopping work to talk. All of the servers seemed to have issues with the cooks in the kitchen.
Patrons didn't look happy or contented with their food either. This was one of at least 3 dozen times we had eaten at this location. Unless I hear that they have stepped up their skills at this IHOP...it will be the last time we ever eat there again. All of our other dining experiences there had been good ones. Beyond disappointing on the day we ate there....
Read moreYeah no. We will never be coming back to this location again. I am disappointed by the lack of quality in this place. Let’s start off with the fact that I ordered an ice tea that our waiter NEVER brought. Yeah, she was still going to charge us even though she NEVER brought it. When we finally got our food we were all ready to sit down and enjoy our pancakes when guess what? We DiDn’T hAvE FoRkS! So as any reasonable person would do, we asked our waiter for some utensils and…. 10 minutes later we still don’t have our forks. Yeah great! We decided to go to the front and ask for utensils from there. Finally we got our forks and were ready to dig in. Yummmmm, we enjoyed delicious crunchy “shelled eggs”. Literally 💀. After that we were going to dive into some delicious VERY SWEET crispy black pancakes but… We didn’t have syrup! Yayyy this meal is great. After we grabbed some syrup from a table they were going to clean off, we finished those delectable pancakes and decided to move onto the mac and cheese, my favorite! Crunch!! First bite was into a great tasting piece of plastic. We wanted to take a break from all the dairy, so we ate some cold fries! Straight from the freezer 🥶 After that chilly food bite, we pulled out that omelet and were ready to take a bite. Oh no, it’s inside out! Why are the onions and meat on the outside?? It is soOoOoO good. All that food made me a little parched! I ran out of water so I asked my waiter. A moment later she came back with the water and… poured it on my dress shirt! Yay!! It needed cleaning anyway……… I will never come back to this location ever. I mean if you like wet shirts, carcinogenic macaroni, crispy pancakes, crunchy eggs, cold fries, inside-out omelets, oh and none existent tea, be sure to come to this location! It will be there...
