Just returned home from one of the saddest restaurant experiences we have had in many years. We chose to sit at the bar as there were just the two of us. There were three young gals working the bar, all their first names begin with K. No smiles, very little engagement, not sure about how they have been trained to pour beer because I have been a bartender for over 10 years and I would have been fired for the amount of beer they put down the drain in foam! We ordered steak and salmon. The steak was ordered as well done not burned. The salmon was ordered with vegetables. The steak came very bloody with soggy looking day old fries, and the vegetables were broccoli with carrots. The carrots were likely just defrosted and placed in a bowl, so hard I couldn't get a fork in them. The steak was sent back and returned to us as a black mass with burn flakes brushed off with a fork. When this was brought to the woman's attention (I think she was a manager but it is hard to know since she didn't offer an apology or her name/position at the restaurant.) she said, "Oh, don't you want it then?" Really what business management training provides that as a way to keep customers? When one of the bartenders took my glass for a refill of iced tea she had a glass from another customer in her hand. She proceeded to fill my tea glass while it was touching the side of the other woman's glass. Followed this with filling the other woman's glass of something. Why would I want to drink any more tea? I don't know the woman and I really don't want to drink her germs also. Again, what training do these people get? In the past we have visited this Texas Roadhouse multiple times in a month. The last time we were there we saw the manager who is a very helpful gentleman who circulates and interacts with customers. Where was this woman tonight?? We will not be returning nor will we offer any good recommendations to our family and friends. This was so far from acceptable. Yes, they took the cost of the steak off our bill, but the bartender said "oh" when she asked me if I wanted the vegetables as she was clearing our plates. The number of restaurants having challenges hiring people is a struggle I am aware of, but the customer service is the breaking point. We totally understand if service takes a bit longer but when the workers blatantly disregard your concerns and food issues, why would we return? Good luck to them. :(

Read moreWe ordered five meals for take out on Saturday, with a 6pm pick up time. Saturday was my oldest daughter's 18th birthday, and she was excited for her favorite steak meal, and especially for the rolls. Pick up was on time, but the young man who gave us our food did not go through the bag with us as normal. We left with our food, assured that everything was included. When we arrived home and began unpacking the enormous bag it became clear that we did not receive any rolls. Literally zero rolls that are typically included with the five meals we ordered, and none of the extra dozen rolls we had purchased. Disappointed, we called the store and spoke to a manager (Kaylen?) who said we could either drive back to the restaurant from Marion, or she could email me a credit of $5-$10 for the missing rolls. I told her I would let her know after I spoke to my daughter. As we sat down to eat it became clear that the rolls were not the only thing missing. We were missing one side of macaroni and cheese, and one side of applesauce. We also did not receive any butter for our two baked potatoes. I think my youngest daughter's kids meal was the only meal that was fully complete. Once we began eating we also were disappointed in our four rib-eye steaks, as they were all very over cooked. We had ordered them all with some pink, but they were all VERY well done, dry and leathery. I will say that this is not at all the quality of what we have been used to in the past from this restaurant, and if it had been one or two smalls things I wouldn't even bother with a review, but this meal was very disappointing all the way around, and cost a good amount of money. We have another September birthday next week where we would typically order Texas Roadhouse again, but we will be looking at other...
Read moreLove the food but today was my birthday and my daughter brought me here for my birthday. she had the chicken critters the breading was kind of dried out I had the 20 ounce ribeye steak medium well NOT rare it was only browned on the outside it was gross my daughter kept trying to flag down someone but ended up having to get up and take the steak to a waiter. Then when it came out when I first cut into it there was very little pink but figured they cant uncook it but as I was eating it it just got chewy and tough and as far as the free side it was French fries which I still had French fries but was not given a choice. The both across from us was really loud I don't mind noise but when you can not even have a conversation with the person across from you that is not decent I am sure the wait staff could hear them but no one asked them to quiet down so we had to listen to that and their cussing. People do take children their. The time before my daughters steak was way under done and it had to be sent back and she had ordered it well done. If we are going to pay 25 dollars for steak I might as well go by one and I can over cook it all by my self with out all the yelling and cussing. I know that medium well means a at least a strip of pink in the center not just a little brown on the out side. Deffinaftly will be looking into some place else to eat that is a lot of money for raw then over cooked steak that is tough and when my daughter sent her steak back she got a choice of side but yeah not a great birthday and she feels bad but it was not her fault. Also floor was really dirty and places that there was not carpet was slippery going out the door was a puddle of water...
