Ashley’s Confectionery — Restaurant in Cedarburg

I usually never leave reviews unless the service was amazing or horrible....I visited this store a few days ago. Nothing is wrong with their products. However, the girl that helped check us out was anything but friendly. I had asked for some truffles. She checked me out and everything was fine until I asked her if she could please put them in a bag for me because I was taking them to go. She responded with, “Well yeah that’s what this bag is for.” To which I answered with an okay thank you. My mother in law asked if she could please put some of the plastic they use to grab the truffles in the bag so they wouldn’t melt together. The girl got an attitude with us, stuffed some of the plastic in and then threw the truffles at me on the counter. I said thank you and left. When I was outside the store I made sure they weren’t broken. But to be honest if they were I probably wouldn’t have gone back in just so I wouldn’t of had to deal with that girl’s attitude again. I understand that the store was busy but we were not rude to her or aggressive in any way. I just did not like my experience at all, especially being my first time there. I hadn't been here since I was little and only remembered it as "a candy store". I went on a quest to find the store on Google, matched it to what I remembered and set off with my kids! I am honestly unsure if it is owned by the same person now as it was then. But it doesn't matter, it was honestly how I remembered it and that made me so happy that I found it and it still exists. Ashley's confectionery was awesome, the kids minds were blown and the amount of sweets in one place! They picked out a few things while I got my childhood favorite ice cream for nostalgia, playdough ice cream! Cedarburg has its strawberry festival going on this weekend, so all the shops are getting ready and gearing up for the crowds. I just happened to be in the area Thursday and got candy for the family.
