My husband and I decided to do an impromptu overnight at the Washington House Inn to break up the dreariness that is February in Wisconsin and do a belated birthday celebration. Although it was only 2 days (one overnight), it felt like longer! We got the "Date Night" special which included a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant, 2 Wine Tours, and 2 tickets to the Rivoli Theater. We were able to get there early to get our tickets and gift certificate, but our room wasn't ready. (I didn't expect it to be at 11:30am) The package was definitely worth it we used everything between the two days we were there. The wine and cheese hour was great, I only wish the movie had gotten out earlier so we could have enjoyed the full hour. All you can drink wine and yummy cheese and cracker appetizers! Our room was fabulous (216) I loved the in room whirlpool. I think you could fit 2 people, but we didn't attempt it. Very romantic and neat design. The room was very clean. My only negative would be the size of the TV. It was only a little bit bigger than my computer. When we have a nice room and hot tub, we enjoy hanging out in the room and watching a movie or regular TV. It was fine, but I'd prefer something a bit bigger and easier to see from the tub and bed. Breakfast was more than continental, they had pastries, a yogurt bar, an egg bake and lots of fruit. Overall the staff was fabulous. We are a "younger" couple and at times have been treated differently by other bed and breakfast staff. (We don't look like hooligans or anything! :) ) That was not the case at the Washington House Inn. The staff went above and beyond. We had several requests that evening as we ordered pizza but didn't have plates, and we forgot our toothbrushes! We were helped graciously and quickly. Cedarburg is a great city not far from us, but our stay made us feel far away. I can't wait...

Planned a one night stay here a few weeks ago for our anniversary and it was pleasant. We stayed in room 222 and it was nice. The first downside was the couches in the room, they were terrible, especially the couch upstairs. You sat down and just sunk down, which made it hard to door and eat the dinner we brought home. They should be replaced. The other big downside was the breakfast. I had called before I even made the reservation to clarify that they were serving the breakfast advertised on the website and was assured that yes they were it was just being brought to your room, which I thought was great! When we arrived we were given a card to fill out what we wanted for breakfast and the options were hard boiled egg, bagel with cream cheese, fresh fruit, bakery item, etc. Far cry from the delicious looking egg strata or baked oatmeal advertised on the website. They should inform people of the change to breakfast when they make a reservation. It was disappointing for our first B&B experience. Other than that, the hotel was great! It has the perfect location, they were great about following covid protocols, they even left amazing cookies on our door and everyone was very friendly. Look forward to staying here again once things are a little more back to normal and trying out...

We were so pleasantly surprised with our visit. We booked a room when we learned that our niece would be in a play in Fond du Lac but an airshow in the area caused many hotels to be sold out. We decided to try Cedarburg as we had seen some nice reviews of the town. Not only did we find the town absolutely charming, our stay at the Washington House Inn was just what we were looking for. Sue greeted us as soon as we walked in, and let us know that our room was not ready yet (it was only noon), but that she would call us when it was ready. Within the hour, while we were out exploring the town, we got a call that our room was ready! Sue was so helpful and friendly. We actually experienced that with all the staff. Everyone was cheerful and accommodating. Our room was right off the elevator, so I was concerned it would be noisy, but we did not hear a thing. Although the room was small, it was perfect for a good night's rest. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The wine and cheese hour was a nice little perk, and the breakfast in the morning was more than we expected with warm savory offerings and wonderful sweet baked goods. We will definitely be back and will recommend Washington House Inn to...

A great place for a weekend getaway. We recently stayed at the Washington Inn to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary and recieved a complimentary upgrade! We had no idea that would happen and it made out trip even more special. The room was phenomenal and blew any expectations out of the water. We were told it was the nicest room available and it was quite large. The bed was comfortable, you could operate two different fireplaces, there was a mini fridge available, and the jacuzzi tub easy fit two adults in it. After we came back to the room after dinner we found two cookies waiting for us on our doorknob. Because of Covid-19, we filled out a slip saying what we would like for breakfast and when it should be delivered. It was right on time and generous. After check out we recieved referral cards and a stamp card for future visits. It was truly a wonderful weekend stay.

I loved our stay at the Washington House Inn this past weekend. The building is well-preserved from its original 1800s architecture. I really enjoyed the friendly staff members. We stayed in room 207 Henry Hentschel and I loved the welcoming gestures in our room - the name cards welcoming us and who prepared our room. The décor of the room itself was very cute; the high ceilings and wood beams were very cool. The best part about the room was the giant whirlpool tub. The only downside on this particular room was no windows at eye level - there were some way up at the top so there was a bit of natural light. In the morning, the breakfast was delicious and a great selection. They have many options and can provide dietary specific options too. I would absolutely stay in this relaxing B&B again.

Amazing! So glad I stayed. Step back in time, slow down and relax! Check out the breakfast! Made from scratch- the OJ was fresh squeezed, homemade sweets and I’m assuming the pastry is from the local bread store. “REAL” food- so good. My compliments to all the women making this visit feel like home! The kitchen was up and creating @ 5am. Fresh Coffee was available @ 5:30. The woman tending the desk was out caring for the flowers etc. The efforts and work are much appreciated!
