Unfortunately this was one place that we were very disappointed in with for our wedding. Now the cake that we received and the cupcakes were absolutely delicious and our guests loved them, but the communication was where we were seriously disappointed. In the beginning communication as great and we were told they would reach back out closer to the wedding date to confirm numbers. On July 26 I received a call asking for our final numbers and I informed them I was waiting to hear from a friend her suggestion on number of cupcakes, but that I would email them final numbers that day. They stated that this was fine, but they would be going on vacation until 8/4 and I would hear from them then … with my final balance due 8/5 (our wedding was 8/7). I emailed with our final numbers within 2 hours of our phone call and stated that we would also need some gluten free cupcakes. I called and sent multiple emails on 8/5 with no response. I then called again multiple times the morning of 8/6 and when someone final answered they said “yes we know it is Amy”. They confirmed they had the number of cupcakes we wanted and the cake and that they would email me an invoice and then I could pay that. They stated they wouldn’t have any gluten free as there was no baker there and I had not ordered enough to make them, they suggested I pick up gluten free desserts from somewhere else. When I got the invoice it had 65 less cupcakes listed then we had asked for and that the cake was to look like a birch log when it was to look like a tree stump. My husband then had to leave decorating to drive over to their shop to get things corrected. When they were delivered to the venue the staff that delivered was very rude to the venue and those helping to set up that area. The cupcakes were also counted as we still did not get the correct amount of cupcakes that we ordered. The cake decorating did end up exactly how we wanted it and was very cute, as well as the wood display that the store brought to set...
Read moreI have been going here from past 3years.I have placed order for a cake. I have discussed with them about the design one month ahead. When I went to pick up the cake, it was poorly made. Finishing was very bad .At the time of pickup the girl says the design was intricate. If they have told me earlier, it would have been nice and I would have discussed other options. I have paid for the cake and told them politely cake finishing was not as expected. The girl was talking very rude and told me that I could go and order somewhere instead of ordering from them if I don’t like the cake. I think their staff attitude has changed as they are becoming busy with orders and their service is not as before. Prices have increased and staff are very rude. Cake finishing is very very bad and was not as expected like earlier. Initially there was a lady who used to make cakes and was so nice . She was making amazing finishing to cakes. Overall they have changed a lot now with service. Don’t think will be going back to them. I do not recommend anymore this place. Save your...
Read moreOur family used to use Haarter’s Bakery in Milwaukee for our larger events because we loved the European rich buttercream frosting. They are no longer in existence. So, the search for the perfect buttercream frosting began for my mother’s 85th birthday party. The quest was for a frosting that was not as sickly sweet as some buttercreams. We decided to try Delicately Delicious in Cedarburg and we weren’t disappointed. Jen, the owner, was so very helpful with the design and the delivery. It’s been 15 years later, with many gorgeous birthday cakes & cupcakes in between, and we decided to use the bakery for now my mother’s 100th birthday party!!! The coordination of invites and drink menus to the design on the cake was amazing. The theme was floral as my mom loves flowers. We used cupcakes to bring in an individual flower look as well as a cake for additional fun later with the great grandchildren. It was perfect! This bakery is able to do many options from traditional to a contemporary look or anything in between. Thank you Jennifer Goldbeck and...
