GROSS INCOMPETENCE- On February 18th, 2018, my 6-year-old daughter and I visited this IHOP. Upon arrival, we noticed a Caution sign in the front of the restaurant by the host stand. Later in the meal, while walking to the bathroom I slipped and fell hard on my head and neck in the back near the breeze. Again, no caution sign was posted except at the front of the restaurant. This fall was concerning to me because I had had neck surgery just 2 months earlier. I spoke with a very nice employee named Carrie Cheney. She filled out an injury form and told me I would be contacted by the general manager, Bobby Hancock. Bobby never called. Concerned for the hardware in my neck, I contacted my doctor whom suggested I get an MRI to make sure everything was ok. While I was in a lot of pain from the fall, the MRI showed the hardware in my neck was fine. Shortly after conducting the MRI I received a bill for the amount my insurance company did not cover. Derelict in their duties to notify their customers of wet floors, I feel covering this bill would be a small gesture in making things right. In March, I called Bobby's number again and left a voice mail. No returned call. On May 22nd I spoke with Jay Birdsong about the incident and how no one will get back with me. She gave me two email addresses to send my concerns to. Her email and that of the district manager, Erick Hernandez. I emailed both immediately only to get no reply. Again I emailed Erick on July 18th- no reply. I have called the IHOP corporate office whom continues to tell me that this is a franchise and my complaint must be taken up with the location's manager. After each phone call with corporate I am told I will hear from the restaurant management within 4 business days- only to hear nothing. The bill from the imaging company has been sent to collections. The management of this location has proven to have no backbone. I highly suggest not visiting this location. Should anything happen to your or a family member at this location, not only will they do nothing to help, they won't even give you the common curtsy of a return phone...
Read moreTLDR: Some of the worst food and service we’ve ever received, took up over 3.5 Hours of our day to receive awful food, and then get yelled at by a manager for wanting our situation to be addressed.
We were fully aware that mother’s day would be busy, but the treatment we received was completely unacceptable. We drove 4 hours to get breakfast with our family. Took almost 25 minutes to even get greeted, another 10 for waters. We then proceeded to wait over 2 Hours for our food, was never checked on by server, as we watched groups that came in after us get their food, often dissatisfied, and leave. We observed four other parties that were upset. Turns out, our server never input our order, and completely ruined our mother’s day plans. When we confronted the manager he attempted to repair the situation by giving us a bowl of wilted fruit that clearly sat under the heat lamp for a long while. When we FINALLY received our food the order was incorrect and half-assedly rushed to get out. Didn’t even eat half of our food, was terribly prepared. Took another hour for anyone to come back to the table after we stressed the importance of our time on THREE separate occasions. Had to get up and find the manager AGAIN, after our server avoided us profusely. The manager proceeded to get visibly upset after attempting to explain our frustration and went on to even talk down to us as of we were toddlers explaining how everything was “fine”. He continued to lie to us several times about excuses for the food and service, after we witnessed the true reasons while we could see into the kitchen. We have worked for years as servers for side jobs and know the BS excuses you give customers when you dont have answers. He then proceeded to try and charge us full price for food we never received or straight up rejected, where he continued to get more frustrated. Some of the worst food and service we have ever received… and we LOVE going out. Manager was the biggest issue. Avoid this restaurant on special occasions to save...
Read moreI usually enjoy IHOP and the love how the manager Oscar during the week is always kind, so I decided to stop by for breakfast with my family on the weekend. Unfortunately, my visit was extremely disappointing, largely because of the manager Peter working that day.
It was shocking to witness how he treated his staff. Peter the manager was loudly yelling at employees and showing clear favoritism toward a lady, while the rest of the team seemed to be getting berated. One particular server was more focused on flirting with the manager than actually doing her job. She spent a lot of time talking loudly about how money-hungry she was and discussing personal topics like her period—definitely not what anyone wants to overhear while enjoying a meal. (It turns out the flirting employee is dating/married to this manager, which is why favoritism exists HR is a small world).
The most disturbing part was seeing the manager yell at a darker-skinned waitress in front of the entire restaurant, while the other server—who was clearly more focused on flirting—was allowed to fold napkins and silverware while the whole restaurant was full. The treatment of that employee and others of color was completely unprofessional and is completely unfair.
It was honestly uncomfortable to witness, and it made me lose all respect for the way this particular manager runs the restaurant. Peter's behavior is completely unacceptable, and it’s hard to believe someone like him is in charge of a team. I won’t be returning to this location unless changes are made. I won't be surprised if this establishment gets sued for discrimination.
I hope IHOP takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues with management.
IF YOU DECIDE TO GO TO THIS IHOP GO...
