Left after an hour without food or service. The manager never came out after I asked twice, and no courtesy to at least cover 2 kids drinks, a pop, and a beer that came out 30min after ordering.
So if anyone is interested in the full story: I came with my family for dinner tonight, all normal, got seated, ordered 2 kids drinks, a pop, and a beer. Kid drinks and pop came soon afterwards and we ordered a pizza and 2 side salads.
After realizing I still hadn't gotten my beer, I started looking for our waitress, but in the sparingly few times I would see her, she was busy with someone else and wouldn't look my way.
After 30min, finally another waitress did bring me my drink, but was very unsure if it was for our table. My guess is that she saw the order was placed 30min ago, but wanted to make sure I had gotten it.
At 45 min, our drinks are long empty, kids are complaining about starving, and I still have not been able to flag our waitress. I hate confrontation, but I get up to find our waitress, but can't find her, so I ask the friendly hostess for the manager. I hear him call from the back that he'll be right up. I wait for 5 min and ask the hostess again, and she apologizes and tells me he's very busy tonight. Soon after I tell her our story and ask her to have him come by our table.
We wait for a last 10 min until we called it quits. I go back up front and still can't find the manager, but do see our waitress. I express how we have been waiting for an hour and how she's never come by for a drink refill or anything. I just told her I want to close out and go somewhere else. She apologizes, and charges me for the drinks and we leave. I at least would have hoped for a more sincere apology and offer to cover the few bucks of a bill we had.
All of this is too bad, because Perry's has always been a treat for my family. We made a long trek for good pizza. But when you get a raw deal in a customer service business, it's kind of hard not to take it personally. I don't want to go back.
I hope the manager finds this message and...
Read moreUPDATE: called after arriving home with yet another cold pizza (i only live 5 minutes away) and spoke to Emily, a manager. She apologized profusely and offered to have a new pizza made and delivered immediately. I also told her about the young man's response when i asked for curbside delivery. She informed me that they do in fact STILL DO curbside delivery, especially with the coming level red. She stated she would speak to him and make sure the staff know what is expected. THIS is the kind of service I'm used to getting with them and never fail to recieve in person. I hope things improve. I really want to continue being a supporter since their food really is great!
ORIGINAL POST: 3 Stars: We have been big supporters and promoters of Perry's Pizza since the took over the mellow mushroom pizzeria. Unfortunately, and the last few months I've noticed a severe decline in service. I've had orders forgotten, causing us to wait an extra 20 minutes for our pizza. Orders that were filled earlier than the estimated time, causing the pizza to be cold upon pickup. And now when I went to pick up my pizza being that there were no parking spots nearby available and they closed their back patio for easy and convenient pickup as well as chained off the drop-off area adjacent to Perry's Pizza I asked if they could deliver it curbside since it was already paid for. The young man on the phone simply stated "uuuuh, i didn't think so" without bothering to verify or ask for permission from a manager. My in-dining experience is always phenomenal but being the state that we're in with covid we don't dine in often. This coming November 20th, 2020, our county and most of Colorado is going to go back under red level which means that there will be no indoor dining. With the service I received lately during carryout orders I can't confidently say that I will be supporting them, which is highly unfortunate. The product is good but the service in these times, needs to...
Read moreThis place offers the worst service I've experienced in years. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I understand that busy nights can create challenges, but that wasn’t the case here. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. When the drinks arrived, they were missing two waters, which never showed up. We ordered a selection of appetizers, pizzas, and entrees. An hour later, we received one pizza and some cheesy bread, but we were seated near the kitchen and could clearly see the rest of our food sitting in the window, surrounded by multiple employees, yet no one bothered to bring it out. We were still missing an entire pizza.
The food that did arrive was underwhelming at best, and given that we were all starving, that says a lot. After some time, a server came over and said our pizza had been delivered to the wrong table—but it wasn’t even the right pizza. Another 10-15 minutes later, our pizza finally arrived.
It’s clear that the issues extend beyond the servers—this reflects poor management and lack of leadership at every level. It's honestly shocking that this place is still in business. The only thing I can assume is that they’ve lucked into a great location. It was evident that no one working there had any motivation or direction. As someone with service industry experience, it felt like I had stepped into a...
