Placed an order through the McDonalds App. After waiting at curbside pickup for 15 minutes, went in looking for my food. They tell me they didn't receive it. Even after I produce the emailed receipt, the supervisor tells me, "Well, it didn't come through" and starts to move onto the next customer. Of course I get loud and tell her she needs to fix my burgers with the customization I always get. This prompts the line person to remember my order and they find the bag stuck in the corner. I also had ordered and paid for a shake. OF COURSE the shake machine is down. So, I ask for a smoothie instead. Nope. They are out of those too. So, I say, "Refund my card then." What I heard next was completely unbelievable.
The supervisor tells me they can't refund my card because they don't own the app. It isn't their responsibility. She tells me I need to call the customer service number on the app. When I tell her it is her responsibility because she works for McDonalds, she has the nerve to tell me she doesn't work for McDonalds. She works for the franchise owner and "she just works there." She goes onto tell me the owners have said they can not give refunds anymore. She does give me the number she says is for the District Manager. I have tried calling a few times but only get an unidentified VM. I don't know if it is really a manager or not.
I called the customer service number on the app as soon as I walked out the door. They tell me they can't authorize refunds. That is the responsibility of the store. When I remind her they said I need to contact Customer Service, she tells me I should contact my back about a refund. What?????
I have tried to submit a complaint online at the McDonald's Corp site. I don't know if it is going through or not. When I hit submit, nothing happens. They either haven't received it OR they have received it 50 times.
I go to this store because it is convenient to my home and it is on the way to the nursing home my father-in-law is in and he likes Strawberry Milkshakes. But, the service is horrible. Slow Slow Slow with sorry attitudes. That is why I used the app, I found it was quicker than going through drive through or to the counter and I didn't have to deal with their attitudes. The crack addicts and dealers freely camp out in the park lot. And, my step-son worked here for a few months at the start of this year. From what he told me, drugs were freely dealt inside too among the employees, and the evening shift manager would give him money to keep running down to the corner store to get her beer all evening. Apparently, there is a corner of the breakroom that is not in camera view and that is where all this activity took place. But, convenient or not, I am...
Read moreI realize, that working at McDonald's, was probably not your dream job. And definitely is not gonna be your career, Unless you don't learn how to do your job any better than what I saw today. Both the cashier and the "food passer", could care less how many times I said thank you, please etc., they basically performed their jobs in a perfunctory manner taking my money and shoving a bag of food out in my face. There was no thank you to me, there was no have a nice day, there was no thank you for your business please come again, it was like I didn't exist!
Unfortunately, these "little" workers, the shift leaders, the managers, and the franchise owners, will soon have a seat reserved for them back in "Business 100", As someone explains basic mathematics to them once again. And that would be that 0 customers, equals $0 in the cash register, and $0 in the cash register equals $0 dollars to pay you to stand there with your mouth open and your thumb stuck somewhere.
EVERY Mickey D's in the entire city of Birmingham has "bit the big weenie" as far as my flocking to them like a mindless drone to happily exchange my $$$ for food which usually defies explanation, and service that is cold, uncaring and typically has a lower IQ than the Big Mac I ordered.
There is but ONE Golden Arch in Jefferson County, that I will drive past ALL of the other Mickey D's in Birmingham just to enjoy their perfectly cooked, PLAIN Double Quarter Pounder w/cheese sandwiches. Which one you ask, nay, that would be too easy, anything quick, easy, and free, is usually not worth the price you had to pay for it! But I will leave you with a hint, it's within Jefferson County AND along the I-65 "Thunderdome Demolition Derby", somewhere NORTH of the line that denotes the difference betwixt a DQP w/cheese hockey puck (BHM City Limits), and the juiciest, smoking hot, cheese drippin", lip smackin', DQP w/cheese you've ever had! Now Mr. Phelps, your Mission, should you decide to accept the challenge, is to hunt down the impostors, and for every bad order you get, go back, and ask for your money back. At least I'm not trying to both make you sick...
Read moreThis is the worst McDonald's ever. Their service is absolutely horrible. Ordered on 10/27/21 and waited 20 minutes for my food only to receive cold fries. I called back and spoke with the manager. She then details to me that she had not had any complaints about the watered down drinks and she believes my fries were cold, but I could come back if I wanted. When I get there she still has an attitude and asks me, "You got the rest of the fries?" We did not eat any of the fries, however, as they were cold. I get to the second window and get greeted with, "We ain't got no tea or chocolate milk!" by the guy at the window. As I'm explaining to him that I had a previous order and had given the cold fries and watered down drinks to the lady (manager) at the first window, he begins to close the window while I'm speaking. I don't say anything, but the only thing he heard was about the fries. When he finally returns with hot fries, I ask him about my drinks. He again turns and walks away. When he returns he is making the drinks but is slapping the lids in between his hands as if preparing to fight. Need I add, he had no gloves on. To add insult to injury, my fries have something red on them and they have me the wrong drinks. So there are drinks that we will not consume because you have had your bare hands on the inside of the lids and fries we won't eat because of red residue.Usually if I don't have anything good to say, I won't. I don't believe in doing bad reviews, but I've lived on the side of town for 7 years and have never received good...
