Ā Ā Ā Read moreI gave one star because the bartender was sweet other than that it's was bad for business .......after leaving a comedy show at Zodiac lounge one of the comedians suggested we try out this bar (Zombie Club)I said OK,it was a group of 12 of us (Latin and African American)first timers from Chicago celebrating a night of comedy success,I seen a juke box so I automatically whipped out 5$ to play my songs of choice,(i dont drink but i love music)they had a great selection of genre that I took a interest in (Rap, hip hop ,R&B).A hour after selecting my music,I noticed that my music hadn't been played by the juke box.So I go back to the juke box put in another 2$ to get a song skip (which means my song plays next in line)and I wait 15 minutes after 2 songs and my picture being taken and uploaded on fb (on the clubs behalf via jukebox) I ask the bartender "what's going on I'm the only one that has been purchasing music yet haven't heard not 1song of my choice, even with the next to play option that I chose??"she goes on to say "it not her,she can't see whose on blue tooth etc."one of my friends ask around "hey did anyone purchase music?"they ALL say NO! and someone tells her the bartender stated to them"we are not going to play THAT music". (š!?)shortly after that the juke box keeps saying loading every time I get infront of it,but as I sit down it plays a song (country, rock)the bartender then comes over to me and say my manager is at the end of the bar sitting he's offering to buy you a drink," i notice his phone keeps lighting up,EUREKA š”he's operating the music ...(im thinking offering me a drink FOR WHAT I CAN'T BE BOUGHT!!!)So I tell her " I don't drink,I still want my music played or my 7$"...I GOT NEITHER!!!my question is why have BLACK music in YOUR juke box, if you don't want it to be played??? 12 people came into your establishment 10 bought alcoholic drinks,Why not please your DIVERSE customers in which their GREEN dollars pleased you???...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI left the bar tonight because of being borderline demanded tips for lackluster and mediocre service. I would've tipped the one girl because she actually gave a smile and engaged in more conversation than a "what are you drinking?". I've been here three times to drink, and once to get a feel of the people and atmosphere before I spent money on follow up returns, and tipped the first time for finding a drink I got every other visit, but the lack of sincerity made me hesitant on going tonight. Demanding people free money for only handing a drink to you and not even giving more dialogue than an NPC is NOT worthy of even a single penny. Plus, having to wave them over half the time shows a lack of attentiveness towards those at the bar area. The money for the drink was all this place is worth. New staff would make it a better experience, and playing anything other than basic music would help as well. I didn't get to try the food, but I'm not going to bother since tonight was...
