So… I was excited to try this place out, but overall it was disappointing. I’ll start out with the fact my order was wrong, I’d ordered Veggie Miso Ramen and was given Fried Rice. Yes, the server had made this right by getting me the soup and taking off the fried rice. She’d allowed us to keep it, so I gave it a try… There was a lot of white rice clumped together and the parts that were “fried” tasted burnt? I didn’t like it at all. The only things that I used from the rice was the cilantro topping that I mixed into my miso soup in attempts to give it some flavor. It helped to an extent, but I ended up having to also ask for salt and pepper to get some sort of flavor. The noodles seemed like those cheap packaged kind of ramen, they also weren’t cooked all the way and very doughy. Not impressed. The mushrooms and veggies are way too big, I think they should be broken a part or cut down a bit. I’m also not impressed by the Cherry Lavender Lemonade, I’d heard good things about it but I just don’t like the combo and it tastes like medicine to me? The only redeeming factors are the Spicy Teriyaki Wings and the Drunken Noodles, those are the ONLY reasons I might ever return. The rice was burnt, drink tasted like medicine, water tasted as if it was from tap, and the miso soup was undercooked and watery… The drunken noodles had the perfect flavor and cooked perfectly, so I don’t understand why everything else was bad aside from the wings? My only complaint with the wings is they don’t give you napkins or anything, I feel they should give you a few or a wet cloth like wing places do seeing the wings are very sticky and messy. It’s hard to get the mess cleaned off with the single cloth napkin you have. Overall I think the place was cute, it was like a 2 star experience and that’s me being generous. It was over priced for the quality. We spent $51 for one ramen, one drunken noodles, one plate of 6 wings, and two non-alcoholic drinks. I think with how poor over half the order was, it was a bit much. I’m unsure if I’ll be returning back or not. I did tip my server though still, she seemed to be new and was very nice. I liked her and she did her best to make it right, it’s not her fault things were cooked very poorly so I don’t fault her...
Read moreTruly blown away in the most negative way possible. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake and as pictured it was completely burnt on top. Maybe I'm out of my depth and wanting to taste something that taste like an oven that hadn't been cleaned in years is beyond my palate. Not only was this cheesecake burnt but it had a string of plastic in it I had the pleasure of chewing on. You're probably wondering why all of the passive aggression considering these are all fixable issues right? Well no, because after I told my server the issue he went and told what looked like another server. She then continues to loudly exclaim it's supposed to be burnt like that. Then, said server goes to the back and tastes the cheesecake herself, again, loudly exclaiming "It doesn't taste bitter it's fine ". I find this all pretty comical considering I just filled out an application to work here and one of the questions to apply is how to react to certain situations. And it sure isn't what your employees did tonight at all. Even without the burnt pieces and plastic that cheesecake and the combination of toppings were awful. Period. I wasn't going to go into detail about the ramen but considering let's do it. The greenery on top of the ramen is thrown into the bowl and not cut up properly. Not only that but it leaves a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. The miso ramen broth is good, not great. And the egg they serve is stone cold in a hot bowl of ramen. I ordered the smoke chicken ramen for my roommate and he literally wants me to get my money back for how horrible it was. Boiled chicken with a very weird sweet broth. The other reviews on the "pretentious" atmosphere are correct. Because there's no way you can serve food like this and not...
Read moreWent in because I have never had Ramen in my life and wanted to try something new. I had ordered the shrimp tempura and a Ramen bowl; complete with Chashu, bean sprouts, egg, the works. The tempura, delicious, down the last bite. The Ramen, unfortunately was not delicious. While the broth and noodles were hot, almost boiling, the toppings were quite the opposite. As if they had forgotten to heat up the toppings and opted to go fridge to table. I asked the waitress if this was supposed to be this way. She said she would check with the kitchen and stepped away. When she returned, she confirmed it was "supposed to be that way" but offered no explanation as to why the restaurant serves it this way. When I asked if I should use the ramen broth to warm up the toppings, that's when the waitress perked up and said "yes! That!" She did offer to bring me more broth, but the whole exchange was just weird. I know I have never eaten ramen before this restaurant but I know if food is cooked fresh to order its supposed to be hot/room temp. Not the temperature of a refrigerator. If the restaurant wants to serve a dish a certain way then thats fine, but as the customer; there should be some kind of notice/acknowledgement to let the customer know ahead of time how the dish(es) are prepared. The fact the waitress not only offered no explanation, and then jumped on my suggestion tells me that my intuition is right, and I received a...
