I am not one at all, never am I one to complain about my visits at a restaurant no matter the class. However, after my past 3-4 visits here I have no choice but to voice my opinion. The past three to four times that I was at this restaurant I ordered filet. Granted I went there super hungry and would've eaten anything put in front of me. However all three of those times I ordered a filet but was served what looked like more of a 6-oz sirloin. Interestingly, all three of those times I had a manager come out and ask me how my steak was, just a few bites into it. Not unusual, but considering that I was getting not what I ordered seemed after-the-fact kind of strange. Those steaks were edible, not the best I've ever had but again I was super hungry, and not much up for complaining. But today I went there alone. I ordered a sirloin, medium well as I always order my steaks. This was the worst steak I've ever had. There was no juice to it. It was so dry it was the worst steak, I'm not kidding you that I've ever had. This topped the cake for me, so I felt compelled to write this. The waitress blamed this on the fact that I ordered a sirloin and not a rib eye. Listen, I've had plenty of succulent sirloin steaks in my day, I darn well know a sirloin when cooked correctly easily ranks up there with the good steaks to order. I also ordered grilled shrimp which, in the picture on the menu came with a side of melted butter. My shrimp were so salty they were horrible because of that. Maybe it was a Cajun seasoning or what have you but they were just so salty and there was no side of melted butter with my shrimp. However they did serve a half of a buttered toasted hoagie bun with the shrimp which to me made no sense considering that they serve their awesomely delicious rolls with cinnamon butter when you are seated anyway. My salad was ordered with blue cheese dressing. Definitely not near enough and I don't drench my salad with dressing. On top of that my baked sweet potato was served with cinnamon butter which again was not near enough for even half of potato again and I don't saturate my food with dressings. Lastly, I did very much like my waitress again I'm not one to complain. I know how hard waitresses work for their money. But this one kept calling me like beautiful and how's my lady doing? Just inappropriateness that is unnecessary to work a good tip. I will not be going back to this restaurant anytime soon instead, I will be going to Applebee's across the street where I've never had a bad steak or any substitutes for the more expensive foods that I sometimes like to order. Also I would like it to be known with this review that I paid the full amount of my bill and refused any of their unacceptable substitutes one of which was a new steak after I was already finished eating my dinner. I wished that they could have tasted the steak but they served me. But understandably what's covid-19 that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Texas Roadhouse in Monaca about a month ago for the first time. I was with family members who suggested we go there for lunch. I am always game to check out a place that I have never been to or heard much about. It was the weekend so it was pretty crowded on arrival but luckily there was no wait. The restaurant is very large and can accommodate many people. They have both table and chair seating and booths. I did briefly glance at the huge cooler with various types of mouthwatering fresh cut steaks. I remember thinking although they looked tasty, they cost more than I wanted to spend, mainly because I wasn't the one paying the bill. I noticed the floor was a mess from peanut shells and call me a prude but it certainly takes away from the ambiance of the place. I quickly discovered that the free pail of peanuts on each table is much appreciated by most patrons. What do I know? Anyway my daughter and I both ordered the New York strip steak, mine with a huge baked potato, which I loved, and hers with double fries, as you get two sides with your steak. We both ordered our steaks the same way medium to medium well... clarifying to our waitress, who was very sweet and attentive, that we wanted it light pink inside and NOT burned or charred on the outside. The waitress assured me that she knew exactly how I wanted them cooked. Well surprise...both steaks were so black on the outside and so bright red on the inside, that it was mooing at me. I just about lost my appetite. Now I may prefer my food a specific way, but I also feel that if I am paying good money and telling you beforehand exactly how I want it, then I should get it that way. Well as much as I hated to tell the waitress, as it wasn't her fault, we couldn't eat it. She was very kind and guaranteed me they would make it right. Well when she returned 20 minutes later with the steaks, they weren't as charred but both steaks were so well done that I had probably two bites and wrote it off. My daughter's french fries had way too much orange seasoning on them for my taste. The two other people in our group enjoyed their meals. I know one had some kind shrimp. The restaurant is accessible to those wheelchairs and there s a large free parking lot with handicapped spaces. The best part of my experience at the Texas Roadhouse was the staff. Oh yeah, and the cinnamon butter and bread. Would I give this place a second shot? Maybe. Probably. I don't think I would suggest it but if that's where my group wants to go I would. Overall it really left me pining for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was good other than that I was missing extras that I did pay extra $$ for. Staff completely ignored me when I tried to pick up my online order even after they had finished helping everyone in front of them. I had to interrupt them while they were laughing and joking around asking if I could be helped. Told me they couldn't help me, and I would have to wait since they didn't know where the person working the area was, when all that needed to be done was my order handed to me. Not sure if I'll be coming back. It's not that hard to say someone will be right with you or try and figure out if they could have helped me. I've worked in customer service for 10+ years and I could tell you I wouldn't have still had a job had I acted like that towards customers.
10/6/22 - I had recently had a visit a few weeks ago and decided to give your restaurant a shot again. I did a mobile order and had an issue where I am missing an item I paid extra for same as my last visit. I did not receive my chili bowl. I received all the toppings that go with it, and this was the same issue that I had last time. I'm starting to wonder if you don't carry chili at all. The two girls working the to-go area were so overwhelmed it's not a surprise that things are missing, and it looks like none of the employees there work together as a team. You get ignored by the five hostesses when you come in, one was waiting for a group of people to pass by, and she spoke to people behind me and told them to have a good day and ignored me when she was right in my face. I just don't get it and I'm pretty sure there's plenty of other customers that feel the same way I do. Pick-up orders aren't prioritized. I stood there waiting 15 minutes along with another customer, an elderly woman in a neck brace and we were both waiting to get our bread. I personally didn't mind waiting a few minutes, but to make an elderly person who is clearly INJURED stand there and wait for bread when servers kept picking up the bread that was at the window and not letting the girls who were working the to-go area finish their pickup orders is ridiculous. I decided to try the restaurant again because I do enjoy the food, but there's some of us who are still very much concerned about COVID and do not want to eat in a restaurant because of that and should still receive the same quality of service as those who...
