Cassano's The Pizza King — Restaurant in Centerville

People have hyped Cassano's up to me because I love pizza and they said I would love theirs. I finally tried it and was underwhelmed to say the least. I was hoping to like it because I like all pizza but it just wasn't what I'd heard. The crust was not crispy at all..just chewy and that was after an "extra bake". The cheese was like cardboard. If I lifted up one piece the cheese would lift all the cheese off of the other slices in one flat, rigid slab. Pizza cheese should be melty and stringy. Also they didn't cut the pizza all the way through so I had to rip it apart which covered my hands in sauce and grease. I had to wash my hands every time I grabbed some. The flavor was pretty decent at least but for price (which is some of the highest I've seen for pizza) it just really wasn't worth it to me. The pizza was delivered quickly and the delivery driver was really nice though so I appreciated that. Overall I just can't justify spending so much on pizza when it was so subpar. Not sure where the title "Pizza King" came from but I definitely wouldn't say that. On to the next pizza...

This was one of the most disappointing pizzas I’ve had in my entire life. What happened to cassanos? This used to be one of my favorites. I visited here on Easter Day and ordered a large big cheese with pepperoni added for pick up. I was told that my order would be ready in 15 minutes. Got there in 15 and had to wait an additional 5. There was nobody else there. Cashier was underwhelming and didn’t offer plates or napkins. I was so shocked when i got home and opened the box. Grease was literally pooled on top of the pizza. I could see there was an attempt to cut the pizza, but the pizza cutter did not penetrate the crust. I essentially had to rip my pizza into pieces. But I was SO hungry and I wasn’t going back!!! The pizza was SO salty. The cheese wasn’t browned on top. The crust was unsurprisingly soggy and grease dripped down my hands 🤢 my stomach was a wreck for DAYS after consuming this pizza. First of all, my order took an hour to get here and on a Thursday night, there is no way that it should take that long. My Mother and my Aunt used to work for Cassano's. When I was a young girl I had the honor to meet Big Vic when I was sitting at the table waiting for my Mom to get off work at store #1. Back then, the focus was on Excellent Product every time and Excellent Customer Service. I do not know what happened to this philosophy, but now it is a miracle that Cassano's is still in business.

I ordered an XL DELUXE pizza with extra cheese and a small pizza, light on the sauce, with extra cheese. Both pizzas were burnt, cold, and the XL DELUXE was made with just cheese and NO DELUXE TOPPINGS.

The small pizza was for my 5 year old. He has Autism and will only eat pizza that is made a certain way.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!! BIG VIC WOULD TURN OVER IN HIS GRAVE IF HE KNEW THAT HIS CUSTOMERS ARE SUBJECTED TO THIS INCOMPETENCE...
