China Wok — Restaurant in Centerville

I really hate to leave one star reviews on small businesses, but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had.

We ordered delivery online. An hour and twenty minutes go by, so I call to check on our order. The girl asks if we ordered by phone or online. I told her online, and she simply said "oh yeah your order is on it's way" without asking for my info. Twenty more minutes goes by, no food. Mind you, we live five minutes away. I call again, and the girl says "my manager has to handle that and she's busy, she will call you right back." Fifteen minutes go by, and no phone call. So I call again, and ask for the manager. The gentleman on the phone says "he isn't here right now." I told him the whole story and the complete run around we have received, so he put me on hold. Five minutes later, he says our food would arrive in ten minutes. Finally, our food arrives, over 2 hours after we had called it in, at 9pm at night. I understand restaurants have their days, but I cannot believe the service we received. The food was cold and very bland as well. We will be sticking with China Cottage or Hunan Wok...

I’m always ordering from here mainly for 2 reasons. 1. They ALWAYS deliver EARLIER than they say and 2. It’s ALWAYS hot & the delivery folks are so kind.

I rated atmospheres 3 because from my vague memory it’s just a little carry out so mainly. Not really a sit down place for me. Even though there is seating.

I get delivery orders very frequently. Ranging in size from $15-$120 and everything has always been accurate, and fresh.

We get a variety of things that we love from here. Mongolian beef, Hunan beef, chow mein, all different fried rices, and chefs specials. Kung po triple delight, the kids like the teriyaki chicken sticks from here and orange chicken and lo mein. I personally think the lo mein is a little bland maybe needs salt or more sauce , but it’s always cooked well.

OMG! How is this place in business?! I know maybe some people order from here because of delivery but,.. I just wanted to try a new place, I called and he said they didn't use MSG so I figured I'd give it a try. I almost walked out because everytime I said what I wanted to order he would say we don't have any, how about such-n-such. The egg foo young has a very distinct after taste, general tso was dry and flavorless, mongolian beef was 90% onion and 10% tiny leftover pieces of beef, honey boneless rib was little chunks of fatty pork in a container 1/2 filled with pork sitting in 3/4 full of sauce.
