This is a great place for those who prefer fry sauce over ketchup. The food was moderately tasty. We got the Lemon Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken which came with egg roll and ham fried rice. It came in a foam container (strike 1). The diced ham was gristley and had very little soy sauce (it was light brown colored) and slightly bland (strike 2). The chicken was obviously frozen (strike three) breaded chicken and fried them dumped in a heap in one of the container compartments (and greasy). The rice in the other. The sauce was separate in a foam soup type container. The lemon sauce was barely a lemon sauce (could barely taste the lemon) as was the sweet and sour sauce. The food was good and was a good value (plus one). But the pictures above the ordering counter were sorely misleading. It was tasty but it seems like it was just barely Chinese food. Was a wok even used? I have made...
Read moreVery disappointing...the white rice was the only okay part of the meal, which is sad. The lomein is made of spaghetti noodles and not well seasoned. I ordered general tso's that was dry in the middle, soggy on the outside, yet lacked any sauce, It wasnt even sweet. My Kung Pao chicken was confusingly the exact same deep fried chicken pieces as the gwneral tso's, same lack of any sauce, and just some peanuts scattered over top, and the peanuts werent even crushed, just whole peanuts, and some scattered onions. No spice, no sauce, no flavor...like they completely forgot to add an entire ingredient to the chicken. I dont even think I can eat the leftovers...thats 35 dollars wasted Im just so confused because my food looked NOTHING like the pictures others have posted on here, with saucy chicken and normal lomein noodles intead of...
Read moreIt is a great value as far as Chinese food goes. For $7 or do you can get a good amount of ham fried rice, an egg roll, and an entree - that's pretty good! They are insanely fast. On my last visit, I called in my order just down the street. I had paid and was walking out with my food 7 minutes later.
To be clear though, you could probably order the General Tao's chicken, the Hot and Spicy chicken, and the Sesame Seed chicken and not be able to tell the difference between any of them. The food is fairly bland and not at all spicy. I throw on the sky sauce and crushed red pepper to help it along.
But like I said, it isn't priced like the Mandarin and it didn't taste like it either. It's good for what it is though - quick and cheap Chinese food. A way better alternative to something like...
