La Puente Centerville — Restaurant in Centerville

Hello Yelp, I did not have a great experience here at all. I tried to speak to the manager about it. She refused to look at me and make eye contact while I was trying conversate with her. She told me she was the owner, she did not look like the owner. The service was terrible. My elderly mother was served a plate that exceeded 260°. My food was cold. My daughter was decent temp, Plate. I also noticed the Health department was there. I should of ask them where I can report as to unhealthy environment to eat. Im super sad that this couldn't of been a post of praises. I always go to the La Puente in Layton. I've came here before they moved across the street. Now in there new place I will never go again. I seriously think this place is going to get shut now. Oh also heard the Heath department say... That there sanition was not! On point and they needed to up it. Took my kids there for dinner tonight. We are frequent customers. Our smother did. Not taste right it was nasty had no flavor. Usually it is really good which is why we go there a couple times a week. I told the waiter. He went back and tasted it in the kitchen came back and agreed it was not made correctly. I told him I was not going to pay for it because we werent going to eat it. The other waitress came out and said that we had to pay for it. I am not paying for something that was not edible. She said it is only missing salt that wasnt added to it when made in the kitchen and there was a salt shaker on the table so just put that on it. Mind you This had happened 2 other times with their refried beans where the cook did not add salt to them when he made thwm so they tasted like water and bitter. Hmthe waitress told me tonight that their cooks are hit and miss and it only needs salt and there is a shaker on the table. If we didnt want to eat it still we had to still pay for it. I told her I wasnt going to pay for something that wasnt cooked correctly and not edible ... she told us that is fine than dont pay for it but you are not welcome back. I am new to town and called to see if they have a certain item on the menu. When I called a boy answered and said for me to hold, I waited for about 10 minutes and nothing. I live right down the street so I drove over to just go in person just in case it was busy. I walked into the building and got to the front desk where a kid around 12 was eating soup and then he saw me and remembered someone was on the phone while reaching for the phone. He said “hello” a few times and no response because it was on my phone. He then laughed with another person and said “ oops I forgot a guy was on the phone” they were extremely rude, while the place had maybe three tables with customers. Extremely terrible service for someone to be answering the phone and eating while working with peoples food and not washing hands. I left and got food elsewhere.
