If mediocre food & beer are your thing, try this terrible place! You also get a shady atmosphere and rude service - win / win!
The first thing worthy of mention at this place is the shady atmosphere: I thought this place was closed upon first look because most of the lights are shut off. Even in broad daylight, the level of darkness in here made it difficult to read their faded chalkboard menu. The lack of light combined with the icy, judgmental stares from the barflies gave me such a creepy vibe, I felt it necessary to keep my hands in my pockets so my wallet didn't go missing. The bar appeared clean-ish, but was sticky and stank of rancid old booze.
Now onto the menu: I'm still baffled as to how it's considered a pub with such a small selection of beer. That wouldn't be such a problem if the beer weren't overpriced for what it is (nothing special, nothing local either). Their version of boneless wings look more like a handful of popcorn chicken mixed with frozen nuggets. The sauce was good, but I guess there's a shortage because they use it sparingly. They're definitely on the dry side. Pizza was larger than I expected for a small, but didn't wow me in the flavor or freshness categories.
*Lastly, let's address the service: I wouldn't call the bartender incompetent, but he certainly wasn't very friendly or professional (unless you're a regular there, apparently). I asked for the prices of a particular beer, to which he responded by getting annoyed and telling me the prices are on the menu. The barflies started talking about me and giggling, and he joined in on the laughter! Truly appalling. Drunks behaving in a rude, immature manner isn't all that shocking; however, you don't expect such behavior from what most people presume to be a sober, professional employee (not to mention the only one there representing the business). Neither I, nor my companions, should feel the need to make a scene defending my honor to some drunk - it's the bartenders responsibility to tell obnoxious customers to pipe down! We came to the pub to relax, not deal with tension.
Update: still terrible

Read moreAfter recently relocating from Las Vegas, I’ve been on a mission to find the best pizza in Eagle Point and let me tell you, the search is officially over. Schmizza Pub & Grub absolutely blew me away. This place doesn’t just serve pizza; they serve an experience.
First of all, the slices are New York-sized, and I mean massive, one slice fills the plate and then some. But what makes it truly unforgettable is how they top it off Chicago-style thick, hearty, and full of flavor. It’s like someone took the best of both coasts and decided to marry them into one glorious pie. The crust has that perfect crisp on the outside with a doughy, chewy bite inside. Every topping tasted fresh and thoughtfully balanced, from the melty mozzarella to the spicy pepperoni and the vibrant tomato sauce.
But what truly elevated this visit was the top-tier service, and a huge shoutout goes to Shane, who made the entire experience even better. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, Shane made me feel like a regular on my very first visit. He answered questions, made great recommendations, and brought an energy that’s honestly rare to find in a small-town pub.
The atmosphere here is laid-back and fun, with a great drink selection and enough TVs to catch whatever game’s on without it being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place you can come to for a quick bite, a night out with friends, or even a solo escape when you just want comfort food done right.
If you’re in Eagle Point and haven’t tried Schmizza yet, what are you doing? The pizza is unreal, the vibe is perfect, and the service, especially from Shane, is the cherry on top. I’ve found my go-to spot, and I couldn’t be...
Read moreWas the first and definitely only time I'll ever go there. The first problem was that not all of us asked for drinks, but they brought out cups for all of us anyways. Out of the 4 cups that we got, 3 of them were sticky inside, obviously not having been cleaned properly, so we asked for new ones. The new cups were also sticky, so we just asked for the paper to go cups. Next was the plates, a couple of them had little bits of food still stuck to them, so of course we asked for more. Though getting new plates wasn't easy, as our waiter was flat out avoiding us at this point, because she didn't want to help us any further. The food was the only redeeming quality of this place, which was decent. Our third issues arose when we got our bill, seeing as how we were being charged for a drink that we didn't get (being the person who didn't order one, and didn't drink anything). We told the waiter, who went and got the manager. The manager was very rude, he came over and actually called us liars, saying that we were making everything up because we wanted free food. The whole experience was pretty terrible, and they definitely didn't get...
