Decided to try this place out since it’s close to home. The pizza looked great in the reviews and then I even saw they had a cocktail menu. Upon arrival there was 3 empty tables…. but they still had dishes and trash on them and nowhere to sit so we decided to go to the “bar” area where there were ring marks on the counter, open canned drinks and even a pizza left on the side. We had to move both to sit comfortably. Those also stayed there our entire visit (40min)
We decided to order a pizza, salad, 1 margarita, and a beer. We first received the salad which wasn’t bad 7/10. Then 10 min later we received the pizza. Still no drinks. We wasted another 10 minutes to see if she would say anything but of course not lol so we finally decided to ask about our drinks and she tells us that they are actually out of the beer so we decided to make it 2 margaritas instead and she agreed and says ok no problem. 15 more minutes pass and we still have no drinks!!!! An entire 40 minutes and zero communication what so ever. The place isn’t even big and they weren’t even busy! At that point we were so annoyed we decided to ask for a refund for the drinks ($20) and she didn’t offer an apology or anything! Just gave us a crisp $20 bill.
This might have been the worst service we everrrrr encountered at a restaurant. The lack of customer service, literally ZERO as the young girl is just walking around doing nothing! Customers dirty dishes everywhere! Like I said they weren’t even busy. This is a new establishment and it is notttttt going to last...
Read moreIt's a big shame this place seems to not receive a lot of traffic. You have to ignore any prejudice about the location being next to Revolution because the food is artisinal and delicous and doesn't seem at all intended to catch a seedy after-club crowd.
Hand crafted brick oven pizzas made with delicious flour, rich sauce, and very fresh quality ingredients and toppings. Savory, fresh, artisinal, and craveable.
The service feels family run and the space is actually a bit charming though smaller and plain.
The products feel very high end and really has no peers in the area that I've found. This is not a grab and go greasy slice, a build your own fast casual, 90s delivery pies, or really any other cliche style.
If you like good, craft food, get in there. There's often an older guy on the oven and he's the pie master. This place deserves your business and if you admire artisinal quality then you will become a regular. Please help...
Read moreArtisana Pizza in Dumfries, VA, is an absolute gem! Their garlic focaccia bread is a must-try—it's perfectly baked with a soft, airy texture inside and a crispy crust outside, all infused with just the right amount of garlic and herbs. It’s a great way to start the meal and pairs wonderfully with any of their main dishes.
But the real star for me is their meatball pizza. The crust is thin, yet has that perfect crunch, while the sauce is rich and flavorful. The meatballs are juicy and seasoned to perfection, making each bite incredibly satisfying. The balance of cheese and toppings is spot on, creating a delicious experience that keeps you coming back for more. Artisana Pizza has definitely mastered the art of flavor, and it's a place I’ll be recommending to...
