My sister and I decided to get our hair bleached and dyed to celebrate her graduation and was searching for a place. While she decided to get it dyed in korea, I decided to stick to my plan to get it dyed in the states. It was my first time getting my hair bleached and I was nervous and apprehensive about the place we chose.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted into a warmly decorated salon. I had booked with Lia, and immediately, the pop of color in her hair gave me a bold impression of her, which eased my initial apprehension. Since living in New York, it's been hard finding the right hair stylist that I like in VA, but after bouncing around every year, I think I've found my go-to place! Lia made sure I knew what to expect and was very transparent about pricing since it was my first bleach job. The staff were amazing and always made sure I was ok or taken care of.

After bleaching and dyeing, it was way better than what she made me expect, so I was surprised at the outcome. She even went ahead and fixed up the bad haircut I had gotten the week before from another salon. Kudos to her for not talking bad about another hair stylist and her professionalism, but I knew it looked bad after that cut from the other salon. As most women, I care for my hair and rely on great professional talent for luxurious locks. Ms. Lee has been my go-to stylist for years. I can be quite snobbish and particular (more than most others) how my hair turns out in spite the nonchalant “it’s just hair” remarks.

The last visit, Ms. Lee added highlights to my Keratin straightened hair. The highlights are vivid and multidimensional, giving it a natural “sun kissed” look. As a Korean woman with naturally black hair, I worried the highlights would damage the shine and leave a (gasp!) frizzy result; however, upon assurance that her technique wouldn’t damage my hair, I boldly proceeded with trust. Lo and behold, locks turned out beautifully, shiny, and pin straight yet voluminous. I’ve had people go as far as to ask whether I am wearing a weave.

my hair was really frizzy and puffy. whenever i showered and straightened my hair i could feel it frying and my hair was really damaged. it was only last week when i couldn’t take the heat and the stress of having to straighten my hair everyday to look nice. i went to Lia’s Hair knowing that the hair stylist was a professional. the place was exquisitely nice and clean, the interior was impeccable and very eye pleasing. the workers there are really nice and polite, they treat you very well. my hair has never been healthier and it has never looked this good. i thank all the workers there for spending time to do my hair. i would definitely come again and i rate this...
