Came here on 9:30 ish on a Friday night, the attendant/waitress came up and said “no we are closed” which I thought was VERY ODD because on google the business listed their hours as 9am to 1am the next day. In addition to that she didn’t offer an explanation or apology for the inconvenience or anything, also there was an OPEN led sign outside and the business hours are posted outside none of them said close around 9:30pm. It’s a Good Friday but this is not an official “holiday” and I know Asian restaurants don’t close for holidays that often because they like to make money. Apparently, this one does not. The atmosphere seemed to be tense ever since we stepped foot in the business, there were a couple of customers who were sat which further makes this situation so irritating because how is the waitress going to tell me that they are closed when there are already FOUR customers sat in the restaurant waiting for their food. The shop owner didn’t issue an apology or anything either just kinda stared at us. This is not how you operate a business and if this is how you operate a “business” you’re going to lose customers FAST. Would give it a zero...

TL;DR: Extensive menu of a variety of Korean food - something for everyone's preference
This space has lots of seating, and service is friendly and attentive.
FOOD:
We have tried several different dishes, some hits and some that were just okay, but nothing has ever been BAD.
Our faves: ~Kimchi Jeon (4.25/5): the crispier type, but good flavor ~Gamjatang (4.5/5): great flavor and lots of pork ~Bossam (5/5): Very soft, flavorful, and huge portions ~Dwaeji deungalbi kimchi jjigae (4.5/5): great kimchi flavor and soft rib meat ~Myeongdong Kalguksu (5/5): broth was so flavorful. Dumplings and noodles were cooked perfectly. ~Bul Jokbal (4/5): Huge portions again and very tasty
Others: ~Soondae (3/5): kind of bland. Better options elsewhere ~Jokbal (3.8/5): good flavor but a little chewier than I'd prefer ~Dwaegi galbijjim (3.9/5): more brothy/soup-like. Tasted very similar to Dwaeji Deung galbi kimchi jjigae
Great spot for some Korean food. One of our go-to spots to...
Read moreWe don’t eat out much. But when we do, it’s to try out new Resturants that have opened up or we haven’t tried/referred.
The younger Korean guy took our order and read the order back to make sure it’s what we ordered. We agreed.
2 sundae gum 1 seafood/beef sundubu 1 galbi tang (for our children) 1 small sundae 1 fried dumplings
First dish that came out was not what we ordered at all. Instead of our sundae, jokbal came out. We asked what this is?! The sundae didn’t come out till after the soups came out.
I ordered the seafood/beef mixed sundubu. When I went to scoop up my first spoon full of the soup, I noticed there was something missing! There was only beef meat, NO seafood at all. The soup was too watered down. The marinated soup base was just sinking down in the hot pot.
There was not ONE (1) sincere apologies for any of the mistakes made. Just excuses of why it may have happened like this. My family definitely WON’T be back to...
