Y'all don't even know how excited I am that a Paris Baguette is finally open in Northern Virginia. I thought this day would NEVER come. Seriously, I was resigned to packing up my bags and moving to California to truly enjoy Paris Baguettes for the rest of my life (not that I need an excuse to move out to California, but just let me be overly dramatic about this). When I found out that there was a Paris Baguette in Centreville, I think my heart skipped three beats.
Without further ado, we drove out to Centreville to experience the lovely Paris Baguette. I have been to several Paris Baguettes in California, NYC, and even China, so I was expecting greatness. If you like Asian breads, pastries, and cakes, you will like Paris Baguette. I've tolerated Shilla, Breeze, and the others in Annandale, but my heart belongs to the Paris Baguette cakes. They're just a cut above the rest.
This Paris Baguette is decently sized. There are several tables, but it can fill up quickly. We managed to snag a table to ourselves (next to an outlet too!) and while it was consistently crowded in the couple of hours that we spent here, it was never filled to capacity. As with most cafes, I'm sure the weekends will be more populated than the weekdays. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like once it gets warmer and people start venturing out more.
We ordered a blueberry chiffon slice of cake to share, and I got a matcha latte and a green tea roll cake to take home. Just before we left, I also ordered an iced horchata bubble tea. I LOVE their blueberry chiffon cake. They have others like chocolate chiffon, mocha, green tea chiffon, fresh fruit cream, blueberry yogurt, and even a variety of cheesecakes. Breads and pastries wise, you can get croissants, almond meringue pastry, brioches, tarts, castellas, sweet potato bread, green tea rolls, choux cream bread, etc. And they've got drinks up the wazoo - everything from coffees to specialty lattes to coolers and frozen beverages.
Maybe I was just really, really pumped about coming here but I thought everything was perfect. My matcha latte, the blueberry chiffon, the iced horchata bubble tea. Even two days later, my green tea roll cake is like eating a slice of paradise.
You bet your bottom dollar and then some that I will be a frequent customer here. Paris Baguette, thank you for finally opening here. Please open a few more...

I visited this Korean bakery earlier today with my mother, excited to try their selection of bread and beverages. However, our experience with the coffee was extremely disappointing. We ordered the nitro cold brew and the cold brew with chocolate cream, but both drinks fell short of our expectations.
From the very first sip, it was evident that something was wrong with the coffee. The cold brew base tasted overly watery and diluted, lacking the robust flavor it should have had. Surprisingly, it also had a strange strong bitterness, which was quite off-putting. What made matters worse was the distinct taste of tap water, and I even detected a slightly moldy aftertaste.
Dissatisfied with the coffee's quality, I promptly returned it to the person at the register. While I understand that the individual serving me was just an employee, I was disappointed by the lack of appropriate customer service. I made it clear that I wasn't seeking a refund but simply wanted to inform them about the issue and suggest they notify their manager. The young man, who appeared to be of East Asian descent (키가 좀 많이 작고 통통한 까만 머리인 동남아계 남자), seemed oblivious to my concerns and failed to address the situation adequately. He avoided eye contact, pretending to be occupied with the POS machine, this lack of customer service skills left me feeling ignored and unheard.
As someone of Korean descent, I'm familiar with this brand and had trusted its name value. However, this experience made me realize why the local Korean community in this area has stopped frequenting this bakery. While I don't mind spending $10 on my coffee, I thought it's crucial to inform others about the subpar quality and unsatisfactory customer service we encountered.
Overall, the coffee at this bakery was severely lacking in taste and quality. The poor customer service further compounded the issue, leaving me with a negative impression of this place. I hope this feedback reaches the management so that they can address the problems and improve the overall experience for future customers.
Read moreUsually love this place but just astonished at the terrible service! First, we tried to order a “honey brew latte” which is clearly under their “cold brew” section of the menu. The person checking me out kept confusing it for a regular latte and told me that they didn’t have ice. What kind of coffee shop doesn’t have ice? I then ordered 2 large vanilla cold brews without ice (this is key in this ridiculous story lol) and some pastries. The cashier proceeded to roughly put all the pastries in a bag and … shake them??? To wrap them??? Not even in a box but in a plastic bag? My tart and donut was completely broken and I planned to give these to friends. I went back in to get a replacement, and the cashier was apologetic which was fine. Upon returning to the car, my partner said that the coffee was insanely acidic and almost rotten tasting. We are regular cold brew drinkers and know how to make it ourselves as well. I decided to get another refund and the barista proceeded to blame me for not getting ice with it - to which he said “that’s why I said it needed ice.” There was no point where the barista said “the cold brew needs ice or it’s gonna taste bad.” I asked for manager and he said “next time-“ and I told him there wouldn’t be a next time. I hate acting like this but if you’re gonna charge such insane prices, I at least expect cold brew that doesn’t take like gasoline. Go elsewhere if you can - and to management - get staff that knows how to pack pastries and actually treat your customers...
