We visited this Japanese restaurant several years ago when they offered a lunch buffet, but we were not satisfied with the selection and quality then, so we stopped going.
Recently, a friend mentioned that the taste and quality of the food had improved, so we decided to give it another try. We visited the restaurant to celebrate a family member's birthday and were pleased with the high quality of food and service. Initially, we over-ordered, but the server kindly suggested reducing our order, and we found her advice beneficial. We started with a special combo. The C set included a salmon love roll, and a Kenny roll was great.
Additionally, we ordered a shareable udon with vegetable tempura and a sashimi set. We received complimentary miso soup and salad, which complemented the meal nicely. The freshly prepared sashimi was delightful, and to our surprise, the birthday person was treated to a serving of vanilla ice cream.
The restaurant's interior was adorned with an unexpected but unique decoration of Christmas tree lights and projected stars on the ceiling, giving it a funky yet exciting ambiance.
Update: August 7, 2025
I had lunch at this restaurant, and my experience was quite disappointing. I have enjoyed their Japanese dishes, but today's visit did not meet my expectations. I ordered the lunch special, the Udon Sushi Combo for $16.95, which included squid tempura, three pieces of sushi, three pieces of California roll, a bowl of udon, and seasoned radish. While it seemed like a good combination, the quality was lacking. The udon was bland and lacked flavor, the squid didn't taste fresh, and the snapper sushi was improperly defrosted, leading to a wet texture. Overall, I would not recommend this dish nor order it again.
On a more positive note, the Roll Combo C, including the Salmon Love and the Kenny Roll, was better but sweeter than I expected. The service was satisfactory, but the ambiance felt old and outdated, missing the colorful lighting I remembered from previous visits. This experience changed my rating from five stars to...
Read moreI came here with my family. I was really disappoint and sad with their service and how they treat us.. I m not person who usually do review but for this restaurant I had too. I want to let other couple with kids know how they treated us. I have a 2 yrs old baby. As we were trying to order our food my son started to cry. I did my best to clam him down but I was not,I felt overwhelm and I took my baby out of the restaurant to calm him down. My husband was inside the restaurant trying to order food. But, one of the worker came and said " Our kitchen is close and we cannot order". We were shocked to hear that. As I entered the restaurant I saw my husband about to leave . I asked him what happen. he told me that their kitchen was close. I was shocked to hear it. if their kitchen was close than why they didn't tell us before handing us their menu. They just want us out from their restaurant because my son was crying loud. My question to the owner or manger of the restaurant is ' is that how you treat customer with kids.". Oh .... and when we asked for high chair the waiter pointed us to high chair section and asked us to get it!!!!. your RESTAURANT AMBIENCE LOOKED GOOD BUT UR SERVICE IS DOWNGRATE. I know your restaurant is newly open so you have to improve your service and need to teach your staff how to treat customer with kids. And train them to treat" all customer equally". if I say" I m never ever coming back to your restaurant". It will not effect you and you guys will just ignore it. But if you want your business to bloom improve your customer...

TL;DR: consistent quality/timing every time we go. Great variety of options and good value.
We have been here several times now and have always left very satisfied. The service is nice and fast. Is it the best quality sushi I have ever had? No. But it is solid, meets my expectations for this area, and is the same every visit.
FOOD: All the sushi/sashimi combos give a great variety of fish and generous portions.
~Sashimi regular (5/5) ~Sashimi "omaskase" (5/5) - not really omakase, just a chef's choice of assortment ~Sushi "omaskase" (4.5/5) - same as above - docked some points as it comes with a cali roll ~Lion king roll (4.5/5) ~Kenny roll (4.5/5) ~Tsunami roll (4.5/5) ~Spicy samurai roll (3/5) ~Crazy roll (4.5/5) ~Soft shell crab tempura (3.5/5): Just okay ~Mussels (3.8/5): more korean style/gochujang flavor ~Calamari (3.5/5): uses a different type of squid than I was expecting from typical calamari
