If i could give this place a 0 i would. Honestly i’ve never experienced customer service/ownership that is this bad! I advise any one especially large groups to avoid coming here at all costs. Tonight on 1/7/24 we had an issue with 2 employees Sophia and Alicia, they were giving us attitude when we were paying to leave because one person had a piece of baklava in their hand that they were eating on their way out Alicia told us we would have to pay for it which was literally so strange but we said it’s okay i’ll just throw it no worries. We all paid for our food and walked over to our cars then realized we were over charged! We had 11 people in our party 10 adults and 1 child and we were charged for 14 adults! A few of our group went inside to try to figure out the issue with the employees Sophia was asking for our receipts most of us didn’t ask for a paper receipt when checking out so we showed all of our card transactions going back and forth with Sophia while she was on the phone with Vivian the owner we got nowhere. In the end she said that we only paid for 10 people even thought i showed them all of the transactions! They went ahead and contacted the police to come in and told us to wait outside we refused waiting outside and said we’re staying here until the cops arrive. I kept asking Sophia for her name and the other cashiers name (Alicia) and the owners name. She was very hesitant to give me their names and just gave me the manager’s business card i was very persistent and did receive all of their names. When the cops arrived and got both sides they said they’re unable to do anything at the moment which we understand this is just terrible customer service and bad ownership. Honestly i don’t know why this restaurant is still in business their food isn’t even good definitely not worth $30 before tax for some dips, chips and salad most of the time there’s no meats out, service is slow and long lines. I’ve been going back and forth with the manager over text and still have not come to a conclusion, still haven’t received our refund for the 3 extra people we were charged for. I will include screenshots of my interaction with Vivian where she told me that they are refusing any future service to us even though i had already told her non of us will be visiting their establishment again. Like i said before terrible customer service bad management they have no communication skills! This was a very dehumanizing experience and everyone was watching us and leaving the store to listen to what we were saying to the police officers. LITERALLY DO NOT COME HERE!! I will be sending this to all of the people in our group to post it because this really needs to be known this place doesn’t deserve your money when they are criminalizing their paying customers who...
Read moreThe best of the best restaurant I ever ate. From Dubai or every Middle East Country to Europe , I would say this is way better here. I wish this is my everyday kitchen. I keep praying that the owner of this restaurant will prosper and open more restaurants especially here in Venice Beach area. I’m am thankful for the owner for having this restaurant where I can eat good food. I’m am so grateful for all the workers from cooks, receptionist and the plates collectors. You guys keep the restaurant clean. You all are very hardworking people. You all employees deserve a free food from the restaurant. I will give free food if I was the owner. All and all thank you to the owners and staffs. I love you al ( for feeding me good food ) from the bottom of my heart. When I ate it me cry of happiness and thankfulness to you all. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Update 1/13/25$$$$$$ First of all thank you so much for the owner, chef, and the industrious employees. I pray to God that this restaurant will stay forever until the end of the world. This is the best restaurant ever! I am crying in my heart while I eat. Tears of joy and appreciation to the owner and workers here. The restaurant is very clean. I don’t know how the owner earn profit by offering all these good foods. It’s very affordable. I actually reside in Bakersfield and Marina Del Rey. I usually drive 29 miles one way just to eat here. I feel like I am in PARADISE when I am here in this restaurant. I brought every one of my friends and family here. How I wish this restaurant is nearby. It’ll be my kitchen for 7 days a week. The foods here are excellent!! Eat all you can for $19.99 lunch buffet. I pray to God that the owner will still make profit for offering such a good foods in this restaurant. To everyone who eats at this restaurant please kindly do not put a lot of food that you can’t eat at all. We should not waste food. We work hard to earn money so we can buy food. Yes it’s cheaper food but it cost money for the restaurant to buy the food ingredients to feed us. Please do not get offended for what I said about not wasting food. I want and pray this restaurant will stay forever till the end of time. So I don’t want the restaurant to go bankrupt. That’s why I asked to put only food you will consume. It will prevent throwing out the un eaten foods. Thank you to all peace and love...
Read morePretty decent mediterranean buffet. Company originated in Texas. Expanded to California. There are two locations in SoCal.
Price: pretty good (for the selection and quality). Though you definitely know it’s not very high quality, it’s also not awful quality like you’d see at HomeTown Buffet or Golden Corral.
Variety/Selection: for the price, not too bad. Not exciting. Lot of different salads, a couple non-traditional items (fried chicken, fried fish, pizza slices, meatballs, lasagna, etc), several varieties of hummus, fresh baked bread (in-house), and a couple different meat items (several chicken options, 1 beef option (kabobs), 1 lamb gyro option) and a lentil and chicken soup.
Also you can get 1 free lamb shank available every night for the dinner option (it’s restricted to 1 shank per person). Beyond that it’s an additional cost.
And you can get access on weekend only to the lamb and rice. These are lovely and fatty chunks of lamb on the bone. If you are coming here the first time, come on the weekend. Dinner or lunch - doesn’t matter. Come when it’s least busy.
As for deserts, not much. But they are traditional and done well. Cantaloupe/honeydew, oranges, 3 bread-based baked deserts and 2 non-bread based (a pudding and jelly like desert).
Very happy they have Coke Zero here as well. They also offer coffee (which is surprisingly pretty good), tea bags, and rose water.
Quality:
The lamb shank (limit 1 per person). The lamb on bone with rice (buffet dish, no limit. Only offered on weekends). The pita bread. The coffee (surprisingly good). And strangely enough…the Coke Zero. I don’t know how they formulate the syrup/carbonation ratios here but it’s the best I’ve had.
Everything else there is just kind of average. But where else can you go for this price? Not many options out there. It’s decent enough without breaking the bank. The beef kabobs were the only beef offering and really aren’t that great. Really lean meat. But still, appreciate they are offering it considering how expensive food is becoming.
I’m glad this...
