This is an interesting place. I come from a school of thought that a restaurant is more than its food. After all if it is only the food. I could order take out and save on the tip. I feel strongly its a series of things you judge a place by. I have been here multiple times. enough to know that its not a bad experience but a pattern. To those interested in primarily the food. it's serviceably good. The portions are big Americana style and full of flavor.

Original not so much. There is nothing on that menu that I had that is "remarkable". This is a perfectly serviceable place and if my friend's invite me. I would go. However the place is lacking in hospitality and not a sense of working beyond the minimum. Fast yes but do they talk to the customers outside of the bare minimum, no can't say they do. When I asked about about their Cabernet sauvignon. I was told they have good- cheap better-medium priced and best- expensive. Not everyone is an expert on wine... but no one behind the bar had any input.... Its efficient and the food arrived quickly. But never and attempt to really describe the food. To share what makes things signaturely good, I watched the other patrons "regulars" come by and its the same service. This place appeals to those who want a "steak house" and not break the bank. The BBQ is what is suppose to set them apart but it almost feels it just covers uninspired middling meats. Not that this place is so inexpensive that they could not give me the service I would like to expect. I guess the challenge I have is that for the price I expect more than middling food and service that feels like I should take a number. I can't help getting the feeling that I am being timed to eat and get out of my seat so they can get someone else in as fast as possible. If I could give a negative star I would to have the experience that I had at a place I frequent quite often. I highly recommended Wood Ranch to a friend because of the times that I come after church on Sunday. To my shock and awe when bringing my friend the experience started off rocky. We did not receive our bread right away and received hard bread the second go around. I asked for avocado and was given a side eye and an excuse, and then is when it started to really go down hill. My friend ordered a premium side to which she was given a cold loaded baked potato, asked for a replacement, and was given the same less loaded still cold baked potato with the cheese missing. My mashed potatoes were cold but at this point sending the food back I wouldn't have seen the food before they closed. And let's not even begin to talk about the waitress' Michelle customer service. The waitress had an attitude, avoided us like the plague, and every question after that was followed by avoiding our table, eye rolls, and forcibly filling our water glasses while we were talking to the manager. The manager tried to pacify the situation by giving items that we didn't want. Even after explaining not wanting the dessert due to how it looked we were then educated and given the car salesman pitch on how good it was instead of hearing what we wanted. I am highly disappointed in the level of customer service and the food we were given. This has left a bad taste in my mouth that I am not sure I would want to...
