IHOP — Restaurant in Cerritos

So my husband and I have been going there since it opened and for the most part it has been pleasant. We have had an earlier issue with a young server guy not taking ng order correctly. So today we had an older gentleman taking our order it was horrible service. He got our order wrong after we waited for a lil over 30 min. He never checked up on us we had to catch him as he would pass by just to get basic service. We originally ordered coffee with French vanilla and he brought us 3 Lil French vanilla creamers when we asked for more he went to take another tabkes order. The manager brought us a full little cup for 2 coffees. When i asked for more coffee he said yeah but we don't have anymore French vanilla creamer . So my husband and i shared the the last cup of coffee with creamer. When it was time to pay he didn't remove tje tablet from. His neck watching how much i would tip him. I honestly wasn't going to tip him but he made it very awkward for him to continue to stare at me while I was signing the check while we were walking out of the restaurant we noticed the container right by the door completely full and overflowing of French vanilla creamers so whatever issue he was having this morning he took it out on us it was a horrible service going...

This is a newer location that has opened up and I think it’s a nice addition as a breakfast spot in Cerritos.

Food: The food is decent and portions are big. We got the Belgian waffles - they were way too crispy, you could hear the crunch as I bit into it. However, the flavor was nice. Other people in my party got omelets and they said it was good and well seasoned. I really enjoyed the hash browns. They were nice and crispy and had the perfect hint of flavor. The toast came out barely toasted, it just felt like raw bread.

Ambiance: diner style family sit down restaurant. It was clean and the booths were comfortable

Service: the hostess was very nice and helpful. She kept us updated on the wait times and was very friendly. Our server seemed confused and kept getting our order wrong, it was a bit frustrating.

Price: it was very reasonable. We paid less than $30/person including tax and tip and we all got a coffee/tea with a main entree.

The moment we walked in and got seated, we felt uncomfortable by our waiter. Alex he was totally fine ignoring us. We ordered our drinks. We ordered he missed some of the items we have ordered and then it proceeds to tell me it’s going to be more and I told him that was fine that I still wanted the items when we got done eating I asked for the check, judge me up and down served at my card, then proceeded to enter it in the tablet, then judges me because I didn’t leave a tip. He raise his voice and said to me no tip even though I pressed I wanted a receipt he ignored me and walked away because I didn’t leave a tip when I asked again for my receipt and he just pretended like he didn’t hear me and said that the tablet was already closed I feel like this place is overpriced because apparently as you can see by the picture that wasn’t $53 meal right there I will never be returning...
