Niko Niko Sushi — Restaurant in Cerritos

Been to this location several times before however its been a few years i don't know whos running the place now but they need HELP!!!!

First off walked it it was busy on a friday night why they are understaffed i have no idea we walked in sat ourselves i went straight to the restroom and it was flithy broken door in the small stall would not lock trash on the floor and sinktop .. i didn't take a picture but i should have it was red flag #1..

once i got back to my table we had menus and we were able to order from the only female server there it looked like she srote down our order and all we askdd for to drink was water we orderd 2 rolls and 1 miso soup that never came we also never got the water we asked the server for she was too busy tending to togo orders so we sat there 20 min plus with no water i saw her serve other people their drjnks and food and gave out togo orders and water never came something soo easy i had to remind her again then we got water right after our food came and being a foodie and a Bartender server of 21 years myself i know this bussiness and plating my Roll didn't look the best was huge like a mexican burrito i couldn't eat it properly 🤦🏻‍♀️ i did take a picture it just kept falling apart my husbands rainbow roll was good right size and portion . i underdtand some cooks are new and or learning and this might be fusion sushi but i have never seen a roll look this big and not soo eye catching but it was tasty i will give them that .. so once we were done another server thst was mostly bussing came to ask us if we were good and got us our tab se let him know our miso never came was kind enough to apologize offer to remove it but we just took it to go he was a perfect example of what the service/ server should have been he apologized again and gave us an extra soup . i really hope they take the time to train the servers to touch back with the tables higher someone to ONLY TAKE CARE OF TOGO ORDERS !! or just add more people to...

My wife picked this place myself being picky I thought oh great didn't the food what's going to be very good took me a while to pick my food my daughters picked their food my wife and sister-in-law chose what they want to eat the wait wasn't very long and the food was delivered one of my daughters finish her food very quickly my food was alright nothing special everybody else like their food the service was very good really liked my waiter very good humor knowledgeable about the food they served if I'm getting boxes to go I talk to the manager about how pleasant our waiter was the next day I ate the portion of food that I had taken home to my surprise it tastes way better than the day before in fact it was delicious some food is like that taste better the next day I recommend this place all five of us...

I always enjoyed eating here, but today i got a little pissed. I waited outside about 10 min and nobody came to ask me if i would like to order. The waitresses were inside talking, only 3 tables ocuppied. After​ 10 min I went inside and asked the chef if anyone will attend me. The lady who came to take my order looked pissed, she said she just came in. Their menu changed ( looks like they have a new owner) but i asked for my regular roll... crunch salmon roll. When i got my order, i got everything in the same second... the 'on the house' edemami, miso soup, and the plate with my crunch roll. The roll looked way different than the one i loved, pic attached. The taste was ok, but i will not order this again anymore. Anyhow, I didn't enjoy myself today...
