This review is solely based on my customer service experience. I made an online takeout order through their website and upon getting it delivered way later than originally quoted, it was missing one of the dishes we ordered. I proceeded to call the restaurant to inform them that we were missing a dish that we had paid for and requested either a refund on that item or have us go pick it up in person. The owner proceeded to scream while being combative saying he gave us all of our food & he wasn’t going to give us a refund. He said we had to call the delivery service that they use for their online orders. I tried explaining to the owner that we had and it wasn’t the drivers fault if she was only handing me the SEALED bag that was given to her BY the restaurant. The owner did not want to hear anything I was trying to explain & continued to scream the entirety of the call not allowing us give any context without him interrupting with his screams. He was screaming to the point where I had to hang up on him because he was offering ZERO resolution or apology for what could’ve been an honest mistake. A few minutes after I disconnected the call, the owner calls me back only to CONTINUE to scream at me about how the missing item was included and STILL offered no resolution causing me to disconnect the call for a second time. This was not our first time ordering from this place, but it is the first time we have an issue with our order and are very disappointed with the reaction we received. This is a PSA to order take out/delivery at your own risk. Because if there’s any issues with your order, unfortunately the owner will blame you, offer no resolution, and overall steal your money!! I’ve included a picture of my conversation with the delivery driver and the ticket that was attached to my delivery. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that every dish that was included is crossed out in the English letters & other language EXCEPT for the item I was missing which is only crossed out in English. I never heard of this place before and when I saw it on GrubHub, I thought it was worth a try. I ordered the “Seasoning Beef Dry Hot Pot” (spicy), and a side of spring rolls. The order arrived quickly, correct and complete, and packaged well for delivery. The beef was cooked and spiced really well and was tasty. The spicy part was accurate...it wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy, but most definitely let you know it was there!! Interesting mix of veggies that worked very well together. Surprised by how well the potatoes fit in the mix. Never had lotus root before and my personal jury’s still out on those. The rice was cooked perfectly and the side of spring rolls (comes with four) were excellent. Overall, the food was delicious and came with generous portions. I always try to form my own opinion so I’m not biased by other people’s comments (I don’t read reviews until after I try food). I was surprised by some of the reviews, as I really enjoyed the food. I would certainly order from here again.

I've had their chili oil wontons here after hearing from a friend that they were really good. What's wild that I paid ~$13.50 for 8 wontons in chili oil. What's more mad is that I've done this twice lol. I'd give the chili oil wontons a 3.5 stars. It comes with a few bok choys, scallions, and sauce. The wontons paper is quite thin and soft- not usually how I like it but that's up to preference. The restaurant def has a large variety of foods which is nice. I don't think any other restaurant at Chinatown Market makes them? It's one of the bigger stalls here too. Service takes a while; I think I've waited 15-20+ min for just wontons. If you're here for a while, I think you should give the menu a try. Their main dishes look reasonably priced too. The older Chinese man who looks to run everything was super nice and kind, I saw him training a cashier.

I always use 干煸豆角Stir Fried String Beans to judge a restaurant’s food quality and authenticity. This is a famous Sichuan food dish and it requires some culinary skills. China Kitchen’s dish failed my expectations.

The dish came out less than 2 minutes after we ordered it, which came together with another Stir Fried String Beans another customer ordered after we did, so it took the restaurant less than 2 minutes to prepare this dish.

We tasted it, it was merely boiled string beans poured and heated up by some chili oils, no sautéed nor stir fried flavors in the dish at all. Very plain and tasteless.

The other dish we ordered was the 沸腾鱼片Boiled Fish with Bean Sprouts and Chili Oil- it was not authentic. It was boiled fish spread with some chili sauce, no sautéing or frying methods involved before boiling. Again, plain and tasteless.

However, if you are on a low budget, this restaurant is your to-go place. It focuses on quantity...
