Hard to find, it doesn’t say Angie’s burgers anywhere on the building, I believe it says Angie’s lobster. Drove around for a couple minutes in the parking lot and realized they must be one and the same. Food is very good and prices are the same, very good. The staff is typically friendly and helpful. The ambiance is a struggle to be super positive or excited about. It’s beyond basic, uncoated concrete floors, bare walls, drop ceiling with mediocre lighting, basic tables and non-very comfortable chairs. I realize it keeps their costs down, it’s not supposed to be upscale, etc, etc. But the reality is it’s not very comfortable to eat there, it feels like I’d imagine eating in the break room of a construction site. This is where the review loses a full star.
Here’s where I see the conflict/issue. If they make the inside nicer, prices must go up. But the low cost is a major draw for quality food. So that wouldn’t likely work. But if you make it a drive through, like their stellar other chain, Salad and Go, then you’ve got warm food like burgers, steaks, and lobster rolls, which are always best warm and fresh, that you must take home to eat, and they won’t be anywhere near as good after 10 to 20 minutes in the car. Solution? I’m not sure, but the food is great, people are overall great, prices are great - need to figure out the atmosphere at this place. Maybe go the other way, instead of being beyond basic and bare and silent other than kitchen and drive-through noise, do something fun, but low maintenance, with good music and make it more fun and interesting, disco ball, colored lights, fun music but not too loud, allow an arcade to put a couple video games in there (they should pay you for the placement) or a juke box, a TV or three on the walls showing sports or 80’s movies, something very low in cost and administration like that to boost the one area causing the lower raking. Just some ideas.
Overall, would I go back? In full transparency, the ambiance /atmosphere is so basic and bare, i’m less excited to go back then I thought. I think I’d rather pay a little more and have a better overall experience. I’m shocked to hear myself say that because ambience has never been a huge factor for me, but this is truly break-room-ish. If it worked as well as Salad and Go, I’d be...

We ordered a warm lobster roll ($12.99) and a warm snow crab roll($8.99). 🦞🦀We upgraded to the meals which are $1 more to add a beverage and fries. 🥛🍟 Total with tax was $24.84
The employee who took our order was polite and friendly. We got our drink at the counter when we ordered and they assigned a number for our food to call us when it was ready. Our meals came out fairly quickly. Each order/meal was served in a paper tray and put in a big brown lunch bag, even when dining in. The drink is only offered in one size and is filled for you behind the counter and has a sippy lid on top. I do not believe that they offer straws or free refills.
Personally, I thought that the lobster had better flavor and texture than the crab. The crab was very shredded, almost like crab meat that comes from a can. The buns/rolls were fresh. Each sandwich came with a little plastic pack of melted butter and their special sauce. They also had packs of mustard and ketchup available at the order counter. I often salt my food, but that wasn't necessary with the fries. It was also very hard not to be messy with this meal, especially if you use the butter and get the fries.
We dined inside. There were about a dozen tables. The dining area had minimal decor. It reminded me of a company lunchroom. Napkins are up by the ordering counter. We always clean-up after ourselves wherever we go out by throwing away our trash and pushing in the chairs, but they also had table tents set out to request that when you are done to please clean your table with their spray sanitizer before you leave. This is so that they can keep prices as low as possible and have employees focus on making quick orders instead of cleaning up after customers. Some of their locations only have a drive-thru and no dine-in option.
They had 2 single-stall/family restrooms available...
Read moreWe had been waiting for this location to open. Sadly It was not what I expected. I ordered a 8oz bacon cheese burger. What I got was a cold hard bloody burger that was absolutely not fresh. The photo shows the blood soaking into the bun which was actually harder than the meat. Also the photo does not show just how raw this burger was after sending it through to my gmail. I know this place is fast but there was no way this was cooked to order. Maybe selling beef was a mistake. Personally I like beef to be fresh and juicy and at least warm. I got none of that. Also too much salt on the fries.I would like a refund please...................................UPDATE......................................................Wife tells me Angies now offers steak. Ok lets give it another chance..Here goes. We were held captive in the drive thru with no way out for 31 minutes. Finally got to order and I thought it would go faster at this point but I was wrong. 1 Caesar salad with chicken, 1 Caesar salad surf n turf and a scallop meal. Fries were good. Salads were good. Scallops are like eating deap fried sea salt (not good). The steak was cooked rare and not to my liking, was also ice cold chewy and flavorless. The shrimp was waay over seasoned with the same season used on chicken. Shrimp, also ice cold. Chicken was ice cold as well. The surf n turf salad is waay over priced for 2 shrimp and a few bites of inedible steak. A month ago there was little traffic flowing thru this location, then the add all this stuff to the menu and made things far worse. Last time Angies sent me coupons after the first visit. Not interested in more coupons and would rather be reimbursed for the cost of the chicken, steak and shrimp. I did manage to eat the scallops. I really wanted to like this place. No apology from staff for being locked in the drive thru for over 30 minutes. I do not...
