First Watch — Restaurant in Chandler

I'd do it again. I took myself out for Valentine's Day breakfast. My waitress, a brunette with turquoise hair, and fun lollipop 🍭 earrings, was quick to bring me coffee and take my order. Due to severe allergies, I had done my menu homework, and was ready. I ordered the Trifecta with 2 eggs OM, 2 bacon and a side of GF french toast. I double checked to be sure it was free of my allergens, and was assured I was safe. My plate comes out, and atop the toast is a scoop of butter. I asked what kind it was, and she immediately was concerned. She brings a plate to put the toast aside and takes it back for a refire sans butter. Unfortunately, she was incorrect about the ingredients, and it was not safe for me to eat AT ALL!! This could have changed the entire layout of my day.... She apologized profusely, and offered me toast. I was already through my eggs, and she quickly offered to bring me more eggs with the toast. Lol that's a lot of eggs, so pass, and ask for the toast. Y'all, I got a single slice of gluten-free sourdough with a side of preserves. To clear up, when serving a plate of 2s, (2 eggs,2 meat,2 grain) and up charging for GF $1.50, you should not be sending out a single slice. This is just poor etiquette. I had my slice of toast, with my coffee, and enjoyed my solo breakfast date, and as it happens, I'm on a pretty good date, minus the food issues. The server pops by to apologize again, and is very sincere, and even comps my meal. I graciously accept, and thank her for her time. I leave a $10 for her...

I'm here now as a door dasher and it's been taking forever to get my customer's food for door dash. Asset in the store for at least 10 minutes before anyone said anything to me. Yes of course I am going to say something to them because I am not paid and hourly rate and I have to do my best work to get my best pay and make a best customer experience. But apparently this store is not concerned about making a best customer appearance when it comes to the door- drivers. When I did give the employees some feedback, the employees were okay with the feedback. They tried to be helpful except for one of the employees. At one point one of the employees let me know that I could hand the order off to another dashing. I don't think that they understand what happens when we do things like that and our ratings go down and we are not getting preferred orders. DoorDash is not a job. You are an entrepreneur when you're working in this capacity and no one should be discounting the experience that you're having. The last person that I had an experience with at this store brought me the customer's food in a sealed bag and brought me the drinks in a drink holder and held the door for me. I don't remember any of the employees names, but for a DoorDasher it's not the best experience. I don't know what it would have been like...

My wife and I ordered breakfast to go. When I called in and asked about the blueberry pancakes (to make sure I didn't need to order extra blueberries) the man told me that there would be "a blueberry in every bite" plus a blueberry compote on top. When I got the order home, all the blueberries were clustered in the middle of the pancake, and there was no compote at all. Also, there was no side of butter, and he said there would be syrup and butter. My wife's lemon ricotta pancakes were nothing special. The lemon curd was basically something you could buy at a store, and the "marinated berries" on top was just strawberries. Which I suppose is technically accurate. The pancakes didn't taste great. We split some potatoes and eggs and bacon from the Traditional Breakfast entree, and none of it was very exciting. The potatoes were the best part (I didn't know you could make bland bacon) but they were just baked lumps with some salt and pepper. Nothing about the texture or flavor made them stand out to me in any way. I ordered my eggs over medium and they seemed somewhat underdone. Next time, I think I'll make the drive to a better breakfast place or I'll just make everything at home. I could have made a more satisfying breakfast for less than half the price, and in the future, I'll do...
