We dined here on a Friday night and found the restaurant to be quaint and cozy. We started with the Tom Kha soup in both mild and medium spice levels, and it was excellent—one of the best we’ve ever had. We also ordered the crab rangoons, which were good.
The chicken satay, however, was a bit disappointing. The meat on the skewers was very thin and slightly dry. The accompanying peanut sauce had a strong ginger flavor, which overpowered the peanut taste for our palate.
For our main dishes, we tried the Panang curry, Green curry, and Thai basil noodles. Unfortunately, the curries were underwhelming. Despite ordering them at a medium spice level, they were far too spicy and difficult to eat. Both were also overly watery. The Panang curry was excessively salty, likely due to an overuse of Panang paste, making it difficult to pair with rice. The Green curry was also much spicier than expected, to the point where the heat overshadowed the actual flavors. We could only manage a few bites before giving up.
On a positive note, the Thai basil noodles with chicken were well-prepared, and we enjoyed them along with the Thai tea. The service was excellent, and we truly appreciated the attentiveness of the staff.
I would suggest that customers be advised on the spice levels, as the medium heat is quite intense. Additionally, refining the curry recipes—particularly by balancing spice, sweetness, and salt levels—would improve the overall experience. We ended up taking the curries home and adding coconut milk and peanut butter to mellow out...
Read moreBeautifully authentic Thai food served at this new fully halal eatery. Not only does it stand out in terms of what’s offered on the menu, but it absolutely delivers on flavour and taste! Gosh, it was so delicious even down to the little pickled cucumber and onions served as a garnish with the chicken satay appetiser. The portions were an approvable size and the utensils and serveware was especially attractive in blue and white print ceramic dishes.
We ordered chicken satay, massamun curry, pad ki mao, beef boat noodles and an authentic dragon fruit refresher. Truly fantastic tastes at the medium hot level. The nuttiness, heat, depth of flavour and for me the stand out new dish I’ve not tried before was the beef boat noodles. My little family and I inhaled it all and thoroughly enjoyed it. I really find this place as an unassuming gem “hole in the wall” restaurant that will hopefully grow
Bonuses: wonderful waitress, Taylor. So warm and kind and friendly ma sha Allah. owner herself Aina, Muslim, woman, small business owner and a minority being a Muslim Thai and sharing a very thought out menu. Thai chef being able to comfortably pray and feel in a safe tame place to eat.
I will most definitely be returning as fast as I can! Run. Don’t walk! Really hope they keep up the standards of the flavours and authenticity. All the best from very...
Read moreThis evening, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ina, the owner of Attros Thai in Chandler, AZ. She might be one of the kindest people I have ever met. The restaurant she has created might look a little unassuming from the outside, but once you step in, you’re instantly transported into a comfort zone. From the way she greets you at the door to the cozy chairs, it’s truly a one-of-a-kind hidden gem.
Now, the food. I like to think I’m not a picky eater, but I usually stick to what I’m comfortable with, and let me tell you, this is pure comfort food at its finest. Featured in the photo are the green curry and panang curry. I’ve had my fair share of curry in my day, and let me tell you, you are experiencing all five senses when you order them. The taste was incredible, the aroma filled the restaurant, the colors popped, and every bite was a 10/10.
Not pictured are the pad thai, pad see ew, spring rolls, and coconut shrimp, each one just as amazing. If you’re searching for the best Thai food in Chandler, this is it.
This is the kind of place you bring friends just to watch their faces light up with the first bite. Attros Thai isn’t just dinner, it’s...
