My boyfriend and I had a terrible experience here last night (August 10).
The first server who stopped at our table was not our server, and upon asking her she said “I’m not your server I’m just helping.” Okay great. An additional server stopped by, but after we had waited 40 minutes for our appetizer and had only received one round of drinks and no refills, my boyfriend got up to ask what was going on and the server said “I’m sorry it was a miscommunication between us who was taking your table.”
The owner was there at the time my boyfriend raised the issue regarding waiting 40 minutes for an appetizer, and did not stop by our table once. He visited other tables around and across from us but did not stop by our table, knowing we experienced a service issue.
After waiting 40 minutes for the appetizer, we then waited another 10 minutes after asking about it, and our food orders were not taken until we had been there for at least an hour.
While we were waiting for our entrees, we watched three tables (parties that were larger than ours) receive their food (appetizers and entrees) way before us.
Finally after about an additional 30 minutes of waiting, we received our food.
At the end of our meal, they then had the audacity to present us with the entire bill. The owner did not table touch once nor did our server think to point out that we were having a terrible experience and ask if any of our food could be discounted.
All in all we were there for more than an hour and a half for two soft drinks, one appetizer and two pizzas. Awful from start to finish, from the servers being confused and not caring enough to check to see if anyone had come to us, to waiting ridiculously long for our food, to watching other tables get sat, served and checked out in less than half the time we were there, to the owners ignoring us, to then being asked to pay a full bill. A truly wild way to run a business that is based on customer service. 0/10 recommend, and 0/10 for hospitality...
Read moreWhat a gem! I live nearby and have been wondering what was going into La Stalla's old spot. I'd never been to the Craft 64 in Scottsdale but have heard great things, so I was excited to check this new Chandler one out!
First, the service is impeccable. Our drinks never got low, we never had dirty plates on the table, and we were checked on by numerous waitstaff.
Next, the food. The menu is small, but what Craft 64 does, they do very well. The emphasis is on pizzas, with some salads and sammies thrown in. We were lucky enough to make happy hour, which has a lot to offer! Several $8 sharing plates and some drink specials. We opted for local draft beers ($1 off) and the charcuterie plate, which was delish. The nuts were absolutely magical and the blue cheese they used was insanely good. I feel like the bread wasn't amazing though, and there were no crackers or anything as a backup. Literally my only complaint of the night though!
For our entree we tried the Aji pizza. Y'all, IF you like spicy, this pizza is ahhhmazing. We do both like spice, and this thing is fiery. It is extremely unique and truly delicious. It uses a green aji jalapeno sauce in place of traditional marinara, and alllll the heat comes from this sauce. Highly recommend, again, IF you can tolerate spice. We sat right next to the pizza ovens, and literally all the pizzas looked and smelled amazing.
Lastly, this restaurant is deceptive in that it's much bigger than you might expect. They did a great job making use of the space, so that it has a cozy ambience, but the bar is large and boisterous, so it creates a really nice vibe, perfect for date night, groups, or a happy hour beer with a buddy! We are definitely coming back, and soon. That Fico pizza and the nutella calzone...
Read moreNov. 8th, 2022. Went there on a recommendation from a friend. Parking was easy and close. Rolled in there at 7pm. or so. Alluring and attractive from the outside. Inside very casual to semi formal. Great atmosphere from the get go! It was comfortably busy. I went with my gal. We were met by a very polite gent and seated in good time. A gorgeous bar was to my left and created an stunning display of bottles and craft beers. (All Local). To my right stood the open concept fire ovens. Once seated in the back we were approached by Bo ( a cool casual gent with a unmistakable beard). Very versed in the menu and detailed facts of ALL products and ingredients. I ordered the Pepperoni/Mushroom my gal ordered The Meatballs. Within a very quick time out came our order. My gal tried to do Keto but there was a portion of mac & cheese with the entree and what seem to be toasted sourdough. MMMM! Meatballs were a little warm so Bo fixed this in a flash. Unexpectedly he brought out the entire entree fresh and new! Mine was a huge pie. When i think of pizza, I think.... Dough, sauce, toppings, cheese. This place turned my routine concept on its back. In house dough crispy yet thin. Imported pepperoni from Italy! (unreal)! House made mozzarella done daily. Cremini mushrooms. I felt they were nicely sauteed prior. (in my opinion, a delicious choice). Completely stuffed I had a coke to clean my palate. When we received the bill Bo took the meatballs off the bill. Totally unexpected and not necessary. All I can say is WOW! This is no ordinary pizza place, or restaurant! This is what a night out should and could be! Im at the door. Ready for more. Craft...
