Terrible online pick up policy. Incompetent staff.
After coming to Black Rock for months in 3 different locations I've never had this problem until today. After putting an order online in door dash to pick up my order, like I've done plenty of times before, I head out. I'm at the drive thru I tell them I'm here to pick up my order. The first girl ask if its the door dash order , I confirm it, she says I have to park and come in the store so they can give me my drink. I refuse since I am already in the drive thru window and in a rush. She says its company policy that they cant give a door dash order through the drive thru. The convenience of an online order is thrown out the window. I tell her its the same thing if I ordered the drink a second ago through the speaker. Its already paid for and all you have to do it is give it to me. She repeated that its company policy "sorry". She also said to park in that empty spot since I am holding up the line. (Like seriously?) She got a manager or team lead of some kind. She said the same thing about its company policy. None of these employees care to explain why that is. Maybe letting me know would be better for me to understand why that is the case. No problem solving or anything just having an excuse to hide behind. I have to be the one to say to cancel the order and I'll order here (again) in the drive thru and pay again. Then I had to cancel the order on door dash. A real headache just for what should of been an interaction that lasted less...

pls be good to all the girlies and guys here. theyāre so sweet and so chill and even on my days when my social anxiety gets really really bad they still manage to put a smile on my face and help finish my sentences/words.
i wanted to edit my post because it wasnāt enough. i have an embarrassing habit and i have developed a little bit of a morning routine by coming here pretty much everyday. i have met so many friendly faces and great people here. i ab love everyone here, all the girls r so so sweet and they all work so so hard. the guys here r so chill and laid back as well. love the new manager even though iām gonna miss timmy (i think i got his name right, im horrible with names im so so sorry if i ever forget anyones), i also love ashley, man i love all yāall here. even on my bad days, i always walk out feeling better. this team must be protected at all costs.

Some of the stores and restaurants are doing this and regardless of what kind of sense it makes for them it makes no sense at all for the customer who is getting their order later for the delivery driver who is delivering the order later and we do not get paid for being slow we get paid a good tip and for picking up the order on time and delivering the order on time. This type of stuff is making the drivers get the order of their later. I don't understand why stores are able to maximize on the money that they are making by partnering with delivery services. This is making more money for the store and putting more inconvenience on the customer and the delivery driver as if delivery orders are not as important as other orders when the customer is at the restaurant or location.
