!!!WARNING!!! Our server treated himself to an additional $43 tip. Our dinner total came out to $227 which I paid with my card. My brother gave me $45 cash to leave as a tip for the server which is .40 cents shy of 20%. We left a generous tip for the service we received. So the total amount for the night with cash tip left was $272. I always take pictures of the receipts that I sign for situations like this. I barely noticed this 10 days later while I was glancing at my transactions online. Sure enough there was a charge from DC steakhouse for $270, again the bill was $227 with a $45 cash tip left. The total authorized amount I signed for was $227. I wonder how many other people they try to rip off and think they will not notice. I’m sure I’m not the first nor last. For the amount of people that go there if they do this to 5% of customers then they are skimping money unnoticed, unless they happen to run into someone like me. If you have been here and paid with a card I would recommend you double check your bank statement and compare it to your bill you signed and report a charge back with your bank if you see a discrepancy or better yet just don’t go here! It’s considered credit card fraud and a violation of their merchant agreement with a Visa, Master Card, Discover and Amex. These merchants all have records of how many chargebacks establishments get against them and are more likely to side with the customer and refund you based off the establishments record history. Since this is a review I’ll leave my two cent on the food/service. Steak was good however bread was cold, water stained silver wear and glasses , appetizers aren’t fresh taste previously frozen from a food distributor and just deep fried. Service was okay nothing spectacular for a restaurant that wants to appear high end. Your experience is simply outback steak house. After this occurrence I looked at there reviews and noticed the owner reply back to people very unprofessional so that being the case I’ll leave a few pictures so I don’t get a reply about not seeing my name on the reservation or I may be mistake with another restaurant. No need to reply back with an apology or unprofessional comment. However as business owner you should carry your self with professionalism and pride your self on customer service weather it be in person or on the internet, it gives a bad perception when YOU are replying back to patrons in a rude way. The customer keeps YOUR lights on and pay YOUR bills to stay in business. Take this as corrective criticism. Conclusion, I have contacted my bank and filed a chargeback and sent them copies of the picture receipt I signed and the customer copy I kept. This situation says a lot about a establishment. Time to call a few people and get some mystery shoppers and some good articles on news papers. Stay alert people don’t let your hard earned money get stolen **** I went ahead and added the picture of the dispute that was corrected by me having to call my bank. This wasn’t corrected by the restaurant. If I would have never caught this I would be out $43. The restaurant wasn’t going to call me or credit me back and admit to it.

TLDR; Your experience here is not worth the cost. I went here in the early evening with a semi large party (10 people). Because DC Steak House is situated in one of the nicest parts of Chandler, I fully expected an expensive dining experience. They offer typical cuts of high end steak, like Filet Mignon, Veal, and a 2 lbs porterhouse steak. "Market Price" is a common choice of words found on their menu, and it basically means "whatever we feel like charging you for this cut". The day I went, "Market Price" meant, $51 for a 16 oz boneless ribeye, $61 for a 20 oz bone in ribeye (4 oz of bone), and $91 for the 2lbs porterhouse. Like I said, I fully expected these types of prices in this part of Chandler. The issue I have with this place was that their quality does not match the price. I have had better steak (and a better meal in general) at other steak houses, and they were cheaper. I will say that their portion sizes were excellent, not too big, not too small. The steaks were under seasoned, and relied on the starch selection to make up for the lack of salt. Personally, my Top Sirloin cut had a long piece of gristle that ran through the entirety of the steak, which made it hard to cut, and even harder to chew. One of my party members ordered a salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and received just straight balsamic vinegar. Like, it wasn't separated or emulsified. It was just straight up vinegar. The loaded baked potato was actually the one thing that I saw was made perfectly across the board on all plates. They do offer seafood choices like Swordfish. And we also tried the Calamari and Wiscosin Cheese Curds, which were cooked and seasoned very well. The reason for the 3 star rating is I could tell that they have experienced cooks making the steaks, but the owner's/manager's choice of product seemed "choice", and not "prime". For those kinds of prices, I would expect prime. I'm not sure if maybe we went on an off day, or maybe the food is just all around sub-par. I will not be returning since I'm capable of making better steaks at home for a fraction of the cost, and if I really wanted to go out and eat a decent steak at reasonable prices, I'd go to Texas Roadhouse.

It's been a long time since we treated ourselves out let alone to a fine dining restaurant so I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for Valentine's Day. A lot of people raved about DC Steakhouse so I thought we'd give it a try. Made an early reservation so we would not be in the "crowd" that I am sure happened that night. Walked in to a nice seating area that was about 1/4 full, nice spaced tables etc and got a good first impression UNTIL the hostess took us to the room to the right of the front door that was very small and crammed with mostly 2 person tables. When she showed us our table the look I had must have had tickled the people on either side of us as they all laughed. These 1/2 booth-1/2 chair tables were literally 18 inches apart. My hubby had to turn sideways to get to the booth. I was SO disappointed right away as there was absolutely NO privacy - especially on a night that was supposed to be "romantic". The guy next to us said that that room was used as a conference room typically. I get in some aspect of wanting to utilize the space to capitalize on the amount of money to be made that night but holy cow was it very uncomfortable. (Strike One) - then came time to order. I am on a small restricted diet (nothing majorly restrictive) and one thing I cannot have is high starch/carb items such as potatoes. I ordered a steak/lobster and asked if I could get vegetables instead of a potato. The server just flat said No and that there were no substitutions but if I wanted vegetables I could order them separate at a cost of about 11.00. Really? No accommodations at all for diets? I can understand if the food items substituted were higher priced than the potato but vegetables? So I had to pay extra for veggies and tell them to keep the potato. (so they could resell it and double dip on the profits - I know petty thinking, but that's what my thinking was). (Strike Two). All in all the total bill was $235.00 which about made me faint but it was what is was and that did not include any appetizers, alcohol or dessert, just the entree's. The service was just OK, nothing impressive, accommodating or even congenial. The server did her job nothing more nothing less. (Strike 3). I do have to say that the food was itself very good, just not sure it was worth the price nor the ambiance/experience. Pretty safe bet we won't be returning but it was definitely an experience to remember! Hope the couples next to us did not mind us listening to their...

Very disappointing. Went to celebrate my 50th birthday. The entire experience was not good. The sever was sweet and kind but she was an order taker did nothing to create an experience. We only heard the specials because we heard a server next to us reviewing them with a table sat 15 minutes after us. That got bread and drinks prior to us. Our food was extremely fast we finished our salads prior to receiving our drinks and our entrees arrived before we gotten a chance to come close to finishing the salad. The food was clearly rushed. My boyfriend couldn’t even eat his steak as it was cooked black and blue. Cold raw center while it was black on outside. Although it was raw inside it tasted burnt. He could not eat it. I tasted it and it was inedible. My lobster mac and cheese was good and the only thing I actually ate. The steak tips were a variety of under and over cooked bits. We had both pushed our full plates to the edge of the table along with the cold stale bread. The server did a check on us about 10 min after we got entrees and I believe she was surprised we had gotten entrees already. She was sweet but not very experienced or skilled as a server. She said she would send a manager over. At this point we just wanted to pay and leave but the sever disappeared and we continued to wait at the table for over 20 minutes for a female manager to come by. The manager came over and first tried to insist they remake food for us. That ship sailed waiting over 20 minutes for her. Then she proceeded to lecture us on their cooking practices and it’s supposed to have a smoke flavor. At this point I cut her off letting her know I am familiar with what a open Flame flavor profile is as I ran restaurants for close to 3 decades. She followed that with don’t worry I will take the steak of bill. Which I found offensive by the tone as if all we wanted was a comp. The check was finally dropped and we walked out an hour after walking in spending $70 for lobster mac and cheese drinks coupled with a combative manager. Definitely not what I had expected given the recommendations I had gotten on the restaurant. Was not the birthday experience I was looking for and I didn’t even get to enjoy a dessert on my birthday. A huge disappointment all...
