I never write reviews on here, but my experience here was so dissatisfying I have to say something. I feel bad being so blunt, but I love Thai food and have eaten at dozens of different restaurants, and this definitively without question was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had.
What makes this so unacceptable to me is the price. This place is NOT cheap. It’s above average price for Phoenix area, charging $16-$19 for a typical dinner plate that is below average quality. If the food was decent I’d be okay with the price, but there are some excellent competitors who charge less than this for premium quality food and presentation.
To start with the only positive, the waitress was great. I have no complaints about service. I also ended up asking to return and refund my entree and she was very understanding, helpful and nice.
I ordered Shrimp Fresh Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai, and Thai Tea with Boba.
The Fresh Rolls ($12) were in a low quality rice wrap which was served cut into 4 pieces, with pieces stuck to each other. And when you grabbed a piece, it would tear the rice paper on the rolls beneath it and the wraps fell apart. Very fragile. The shrimp was also not whole pieces like many competitors offer (especially for this price), it was paper thin shavings. Most of the wrap was also just lettuce with no shrimp either. The peanut sauce tasted as expected. For $12 this is horrible value.
The Pad Thai ($16) noodles felt underchooked and kind of chewy hard, it was also very “soupy” with not much consistency in the sauce. It also did not have much color or visible appeal. It came off more like a home-cooked attempt at making Pad Thai rather than a restaurant-grade one. It was easily the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever ordered in 15 years. This was the first time I’ve ever returned my food and asked for a refund.
The Thai Tea ($6) had average flavor, but the boba had poor quality. And sometimes you would get one that was kind of stale.
I’m extremely disappointed with this place. I’ve never had Pad Thai so overtly bad before and for these premium prices I can’t recommend...

I was invited out by "Aunt" Jib, to try out her family's new Thai restaurant. After informing our waiter of this, and he lit up like a Christmas tree. This guy was very happy... like a happy that's contagious...
Looking at the apps, we decided on their Chon Thai Chicken rolls, which were fabulously crispy on the outside, and creamy on the inside, by what I can only assume to be potatoes??? It was served with a sweet spicy sauce and diced cucumbers and red onions, which gave it nice crunch and fresh flavor.
The Chicken Tom Kha was delicious, with its coconut broth and bobbing mushrooms.
My companion ordered the Drunken Beef Noodles and I went with the Panang Curry with Beef. I adored both dishes, but was even more impressed when the waitress told me that I can call ahead, and place a special order for mussamun (pronounced "muss a mun", not "moose sa moon") curry, as its not on the menu.
For me? You'd make a special dish just for me? WHO DOES THAT?!?!
Then, as if they hadnt been kind enough, our waiter asks us not to go anywhere because he has a surprise. A surprise for me? What could it be? A sword? Clown makeup? Singing lessons? Wonderful gift ideas raced through my mind, but none were as tasty as the mango and sticky rice dessert which was placed before us.
On our way out, my companion mentioned to our waiter, how much we enjoyed his service, and he said that her words was the nicest thing that's happened all day. My companion said he was the nicest thing that's...
Read moreLet me start by saying that if you're familiar with Thai food and you're looking for a very specific flavor, this place is a must. I'm from San Francisco. Good Asian food is 5min away. I've been suffering here because most thai places here don't hit right. It's taken about 5 thai places from Mesa to Phoenix and in Chandler to find a place that has the flavor this place has. This is my new regular Thai spot. Probably better than the ones we have in SF.
The Tom Yum soup with seafood was delicious! A really nice balance of flavors with just the right amount of sour.
Mango salad was good and very fresh. I prefer more ripe mangoes but i guess the flavor is slightly green or firm mango. Still good.
Chicken Satay, yes! Well flavored chicken with the best dipping sauce I've ever had. I'm well traveled with my food from coast to coast and this is my favorite satay dipping sauce.
The actual let down: the garlic pepper chicken. Not to be confused with the crispy garlic chicken. The flavor was still very very good and I'll order this again and again. But for some strange reason, the garlic was hard like uncooked rice. Found this the most strange.
One other issue... the food does come out slow and out of order. Entree before appetizer. Jokingly, I guess it's a good thing we didn't order dessert. Lol. Make no mistake though, the food is really really good. We're very satisfied and will be returning customers. Just come with patience and not being in a rush and...
