The cafe is really cute, warm, inviting and fun. There are lots of seating options including tables and chairs, stools and a couch; there is also a kids area. The staff is friendly and nice though they assumed I wanted my order to go without asking. They have wifi so it would have been nice to take advantage of that while drinking but I felt obligated to leave since they put my drinks in a to-go cup unlike the customers who dined in who were given a glass.
I like how you can order from their menu or create your own juice or smoothie. I ordered a smoothie with almond milk, almond butter, strawberry and banana. It had a good consistency, flavor and thickness.
I also got a cold pressed juice made with cucumber, pineapple, lemon, lime, ginger. It was very watery and I didn’t taste any ginger nor pineapple. It tasted as if something was missing. Wasn’t a huge fan of the consistency and lack of flavor that should have been pungent from the ginger and pineapple especially compared to other juice places I’ve tried.
In addition to juices and smoothies they also serve sandwiches, salads, acai and dragon fruit bowls, oatmeal, granola, fruit bowls, snacks and healthy baked goods that are vegan and looked delicious. They also have drinks like herbal tea, coffee, and a raw cacao drink with the milk of your choice (eg., almond).
There are so many wonderful aspects of the Fruta Healthy Eating Cafe. I recommend going and trying new...
Read moreI really like Frutas food, they have delicious Açaí bowls. The 3 star is because this place is so expensive it keeps me from eating there anymore. If I want to get two açaí bowls for me and my wife, I’m paying over $32 - this is not even reasonable. Any other açaí bowl place I’ve been to in the area is around $20-$25 for 2 bowls. They will also charge you for everything, I think extra granola is almost $2 and it comes in one of those little condiment cups. They also charge extra for using a card. I also own a business, I understand credit card processing fees. Unfortunately, If your customers matter to you, you need to eat that cost or make it more reasonable. Usually I would say add it into the cost of your stuff but there is no room for any added cost in their menu items. I have seen responses to reviews that the prices are because of the high quality ingredients. The other açaí bowls I get are using organic ingredients and anybody could go to the store and buy a carton of blueberries, a carton of strawberries, a bunch of bananas (all organic) for less than the cost of a bowl and that’s at retail prices. I implore Fruta to experiment with taking smaller margins to hopefully get more customers, because no one wants to pay $16 for an açaí bowl. The amount of upcharges and cost of your items makes customers feel like you’re trying to nickel and dime them every...
Read moreI never usually post about a is this unless there's outrageous practices that are going on and in this case this is what happened. On February 6th approximately at 11:03 a.m. my friend and I came in to purchase food unfortunately the server gave us the wrong food by the time we got try destination we realized the mistake and be promptly called them. On the phone they assured us to come in and claim our food and when we came in later on they denied that this transaction existed basically stealing and I repeat stealing our money. Stating "there is no evidence to prove" that this transaction took place even though I have pictures of us there that day and and was assured on the phone that day. This is very unfortunate and we also mentioned that we were incredibly disappointed and we are still disappointed in the actions or the lack of actions that occurred at this place of business. As true to our word because we hold ourselves to those standards we said we would also post a review....
