We booked a tour this past weekend. I wish I remembered our tour guides name (he’s also a teacher just for reference) he was absolutely great! He was very informative, humorous and had some good trivia questions for our group. He was awesome! Biggest downfall I didn’t see on the reviews I read was the actual tour is not air conditioned. I guess looking back it would be difficult for it to be air conditioned but imagine being in a warehouse in Phoenix during summer with absolutely no A/C and hardly any air flow. That’s insane. I think we would’ve passed on the tour knowing that. They do offer water stations throughout the tour which is 100% necessary. There were also a couple of fans that were around which if you get in front of makes the heat somewhat bearable. You do get to enter their freezer a couple of times which felt great but still bizarre. I’d hold off on the tour during hot months and attend when the weather is cooler. Unless you enjoy sweating bullets. I also want to add you wear protective goggles during the whole tour and it is so hot your goggles constantly fog up. Enough about the heat, just wanted to warn/prepare others. Last negative I want to mention is there is a lady that works in the front whose attitude was overwhelmingly unnecessary. The way she speaks to other associates let alone customers is beyond unprofessional. Other than that nice and clean facility....
Read moreI love beer, and I love breweries and brewery tours. But I think SanTans beer is pretty awful, I think their beer tastes flat and dull across the board. I feel the same way about Four Peaks beer which makes sense when you realize that the founder of SanTan is the original head brewer of Four Peaks. These are the two biggest breweries in Arizona so props to them for that. But I think the problem is that they don't soften the hard local water well enough and it negatively affects the final product. Their QC lab in the brewery space is also one of the dirtiest QC rooms that I've ever seen and I'm a professional scientist. FWIW the service of the employees is fantastic and the brewery tour is pretty fun. They also started distilling spirits which are also pretty good. I think it's worth noting that the distillation process would fix the water quality issue that I have with their beer which makes me feel confident that that's the problem. Because of the friendly service and environment and the spirits I'm giving them an extra star. But there are tons of other craft breweries around here with better beer (Pedal Haus, Fate,...
Read moreWe've been here for a tour and for couple events. The tour was five stars! It was fun, very informative, and well worth it. The first event was 5 stars! We did a Jerky and Beer pairing which was awesome. The last event was just a Whiskey Wednesday. This one was 1 star. Unfortunately, the service was horrible and the bartender lady made it seem like just us being there was a burden to her. She was really nice to the older couples around us but when she came to us she was looking around not paying attention to us. My wife asked her questions about a few of the whiskey drinks an she she acted bothered and gave one word responses. Our drinks were good, but after they had been empty for awhile she helped the older couples around and looked at us but skipped our table. My wife and I are quiet, very polite, and gave her no reason to treat us the way she did. We would have stayed for three rounds had it not been for her, but ended up leaving after one. Hopefully she was just having a bad night and this isn't what we should expect going forward. We'll try other events here because the tour and the first event we went...
